For those asking I am running 8GB of this STT ram in my IP35-E at 411 right now to hit 3.7 with my e8400, ram worked like a charm in the board!

Depends on what cpu you are using and whether or not you're overclocking.

If you are not OC'ing, just get the ST memory. If you are, consider what kind of OC you are looking for. The ST will have no problems getting a Q6600 up to 3.6Ghz (9x multiplier x 400mhz).

Just compute what your FSB should be and divide it by 2, and that should tell you, roughly, what speed memory you need. For example, the Q6600 has a 1066mhz FSB and needs 533mhz memory to hit its stock speed, and as well, an E8400 has a 1333mhz FSB and needs 667mhz memory to hit its stock speed.
I'm looking at getting the Q6600, and would be quite happy if I could get it to 3.6Ghz. I'll get these then. Thanks bamacre!:)

Just wanted to mention that with a SLACR, the Gigabyte P31 based board board got me to 3.6GHz with my q6600 in very short order:

I used some relatively cheap DDR800 RAM.

I already got the Abit IP35-E. Waiting for this ram to come in is the only thing holding me up.

Shipping pushed me more towards $70 in CA, but shipping was very fast. Placed my order one nite and 2 days later I had them. Got 4 sticks, 2 for my Q6600 and 2 for my Phenom 9500. They are pretty low for having the heat spreader and 1.8v keeps em fairly cool. Wish stupid 32bit Vista could see more than 3326mb tho, LOL! The Acer MB on my Q6600 won't let me overclock at all...

Price down to $32, or $64 for 4GB kit.

Compared to 12-15 months ago, this is simply amazing. I remember trying to find 2GB kits of value DDR2-533 for less than $200.

Heh - I remember bumping from 32MB to 64MB on my P2 costing an extra $400 (good thing my company paid for it).

This is very tempting - I got in on the Dell Q6600 + 24" monitor deal last week. So this memory will work fine in that box? I'm not interesting in OC (good thing, since the mobo won't let you).

I wish someone would delete these SuperTalent threads.

They have already cost me 3 sets of 2x1GB 667, a set of 2x1 800, and now a 2x2GB 800. This stuff "just works" in every system I've tried them in. My excuse today was ordering a 256M PC133 SODIMM for my printer and the 2x2GB stuff jumped right into my cart, DOH.

Oops, I can add some input to the post above. I tested 667 and 800 in my old Dell Optiplex (single core Presshot CPU) and it worked ok. I haven't tried them in my new Optiplex 745 dual core but doubt if there'd be a problem as long as it uses DDR2.

Have 4x1GB SuperTalent DDR2-667 in my IP35-E right now.

T8UB2GC5 x1 (Dual kit)
T8UB1GC5 x2 (singles)

I haven't really mem-tested beyond 900, but I haven't really run into any issues below that. It lets me OC my chip to whatever freq I want to using a divider.

Using these on the DS3 and IP35 motherboards with 5-5-515 timings (i believe). Both can overclock to past 320fsb. I'm using 310 for stability on my IP35. Oh, and that's with a bump on the memory voltage.

I purchased 2 of these sticks back when it was $35 per stick and have them running in dual channel at 870mhz with default 1.8v. and default timings 5-5-5-15. So far have used them in 2 different systems and they've worked flawlessly. I might buy a few more of these, this price is ridiculous!

I have mine at 2.2V from 2.1V at 310MHz. How come your's is at 1.8V? Just curious.

Are yours the ones with the dark blue heat spreaders or the Silver heat spreaders? Because I know that the dark blue ones use 2.1v but default on the Silver ones is 1.8v. I havent needed to increase voltage as these are stable at this speed on 1.8v.

Mine are the 2GB sticks linked in the OP. I purchased them last year tho, so they may have changed the specs on them.

Good deal...and made in the USA to boot. Awsome on that aspect alone!!!

According to one NewEgg review, the rebate process is a little uncertain with Super Talent. But it sounds like that was a newb as there was no mention of resubmitting copies of the submission and so forth. I'm going to give it a try -- I agree, great deal. Wish it wasn't limited to 1 per :).

All mines are dark blue.
