Hot sauce recommendations?

I'm looking for some good hot sauce. There's always the Tabasco standby, but are there any others that are recommended? Yesterday I bought a 5 oz bottle of Frank's Red Hot because it was cheaper than a 2 oz bottle of Tabasco. Well, it's been a day and I've already pounded through 3/4 of the bottle because it's simply not hot at all. I feel like I can drink this stuff... hardly what I'd consider good value for my money.

Yeah, I wouldn't call Tabasco flavorful. It's pretty much just spicy vinegar IMO. I don't think I've ever seen that Iguana XXX before though in my local stores.

Try some of the Tabasco Habanero Sauce

It's hotter than all the other other Tabasco sauces and most have never heard of it, but of course won't compare to the what most sauces people will post in here. If you don't like to taste your food, go with everyone else's suggestions, not mine.

Tabasco Heat Scale

The only hot sauce you'll ever need: Sriracha

It's flavorful and has enough spiciness to it. You can find it at many local Asian grocery stores or nowadays, even the ethnic section of your local grocery store. But, only get the one with the chicken and green cap. There's one with a cow (if I remember correctly) and a yellow cap that doesn't taste as good.

I grow four different types of chilli 😎

Habanero, Peri-Peri, Siam, and another orange one that isn't what the label said it was.

Great range from super-turbo heat, through to relatively mild (well, relatively, the seeds on even the Siam still kick like a mule 😉).

For sauce, I just use Nandos extra hot peri-peri. Very hot, but very tasty into the bargain 😀

I really, really love chilli, and fresh homegrown>j00 😉

That sauce isn't very hot unless you use gobs of it. My grandma calls it the sweet sauce lol

It's not the spiciest, but it's got good flavor. It goes well on most anything from hamburgers to soups. I bought a bottle and my roommates took it to the college cafeteria everyday. The other people just looked at us weird. 😀

yeah it's great, i put it on nearly everything. but if the OP really wants kick, gotta look elsewhere. everyone loves the cock sauce though

Try Assblasters hot sauce. It has serious heat and good flavor, which is a combination I have not tasted in too many real hot sauces. I tried it with a drop on a corn chip. It had great flavor and then the pain started at one spot in my mouth and radiated until my entire mouth was throbbing.

I had it in a Mexican restaurant but have not seen in the stores. The label as a drawing of an outhouse with its roof being blown off.

When you are eating this sauce make sure you wash your hands before you touch any tender areas on your body if you know what I mean....

The OP is talking about something hotter then Frank's. Sriracha is definitely hotter then Frank's and also much better IMO!

Also I really like Scorned Woman Hot Sauce. Good stuff.

Franks Red Hot may not be all that spicy hot, but it sure tastes good and goes on just about ANYTHING. I  Franks

I use Sriracha quite a bit when I want a bit more kick, but I still have much love for my Franks Chile n Lime Red Hot sauce.

Try Frank's XTRA HOT

If you like the vinegary style, there's an "extra hot" Crystal hot sauce you might like.

<-- doesn't like vinegar at all, and stays with Mexican sauces like Cholula and Tapatio.

Though Sriachi+Bullseye goes great on chicken breasts.
