Franks is decent but only on ceirtain things. Yes you can get stuff hotter. The hottest stuff I've had is Dave's Special Reserve it comes in a coffin and when I tried it at the store I had to sign a waver. But as far as something I'd use day to day I'd still rather have Franks.

Franks is great hot sauce because of how well it goes with stuff. It's not so much a punch you in the gut kind of hot though.

I like it on burgers with swiss cheese and it's awesome in hot wing recipes. The mildness of it complaments food without overpowering it.

Now, for REAL hot sauce, you need to check out an international food store for some pepper sauces. I can't recommend any, but just look for some habenero based sauces and you'll be set.

Try Assblasters hot sauce. It has serious heat and good flavor, which is a combination I have not tasted in too many real hot sauces. I tried it with a drop on a corn chip. It had great flavor and then the pain started at one spot in my mouth and radiated until my entire mouth was throbbing.

I had it in a Mexican restaurant but have not seen in the stores. The label as a drawing of an outhouse with its roof being blown off.

When you are eating this sauce make sure you wash your hands before you touch any tender areas on your body if you know what I mean....

I'd try it just for the name alone, a lot of these sauces you find online have names of crap no respectable store would ever carry.

I had some Blairs Reserve, not the 15 million kind, believe it was the 6 A.M. (6 million) kind. Neighbor wanted to find the hottest sauce he could. He paid a ton for the bottle, I put like 3 drops in my bowl of Chili Con Carne and it was over. My mind exploded thinking about how 3 drops in a whole big ass bowl of chili could turn it from mild to about 100x too hot. The link Apex pasted for the 15 million sauce - I think I'll pass :)

Cholula Garlic is good, hell regular Cholula, not close to HOT but a decent heat and nice flavor. The Garlic one is especially tasty.

Franks Wing sauce is good, has a butter substance already in it, so it's thicker and had a nice buttery taste to go with the spice :D

why spend money on MORE sauce?

if frank's isnt cutting it, buy some real habaneros at your local market for cheap (at mexican market for EXTRA cheap), cut it up finely and mix into whatever it is youre cooking (or serving)

this is how i spice up my curries

i really like crystal hot sauce. not super hot, but hotter than tabasco, and better flavor.

For a vinegar-based sauce, I like Crystal or Texas Pete. But they're all pretty similar.

I used to be all about heat, now I'm all about flavor. Blair's Sweet Death for me. It's not terribly hot (probably about the same as Frank's), but it tastes sooooo good.

If you want really hot sauce, Blair's makes a whole line of much hotter sauces. Many are too hot to be applied directly to food.

Blair's will set you back about $8 a bottle if you can find it locally, or more if you buy it online and pay for shipping. I buy it buy the box directly from Blair's: http://extremefood.com/product.php?id=125 (12 bottles)

Surely you don't think such a delicate and elaborate plan could be so easily derailed!
