yeah, it has to be a problem with their system. i know nothing is wrong with my card. and others got it as well. we'll see.
 
The reason why you all are getting an e-mail that says that your order could not be processed is because THEY ARE OUT OF STOCK ON THE ITEM! I already went through this and got the same damn e-mail, i called them and they said that my card was fine but that they cancelled it because of that reason. If you go to the website and look right above the desription, it says in small letters "OUT OF STOCK" This was since early saturday morning.
 
Yup, they are out of stock. Maybe you are behind a proxy or something, hit refresh.

Anyway, go to CompUSA B&M and get one...you'll be able to choose the color of the Rio.
 
i picked up too many from the burbank, ca store. they had 12 before i got there. all the rios were grey.

good find.

has anyone tried upgrading these to 10x burners?

 
daaaaaaaang, i can't find it on staples, but that would be SOOO GREAT! =) hahaha... that could be close to 100 bucks if you can combine a 40/200 coupon and the 50 rebate! =)

Hmmm, I checked out the hacks on CDR-Info, all I see is converting HP8250/HP9100 to HP9300, not HP9150i to HP9300. Wouldn't they put HP91xx if they ment 9100 series drives? Looks like the hack is only for the 9100, not the 9100 series. Anyone that already has a drive want to try?
 
If you look at the 9100 faq on cdrinfo you'll see:

1) Download the v1.0c firmware for the HP9100 series.
2) Use the Sony updater (already have download it) in pure DOS and type: Updcrx21 9100_10c.bin /AT /M (Change the /M to /S if your cdr is ?Slave?)

Shut down the PC. Reboot and check if the drive is now working as HP9100...

So it looks like the HP9100's use the same firmware!
 
I had to end up buying from CompUSA and had to pay tax and shipping. still a good deal at $221 final price.
this is my first OFFICIAL purchase of a HOT DEAL! all other ones were free or under $10...
and now I know what you guys mean by having NO MONEY LEFT... after this purchase, I'm officially dead broke. But then, I'm a happy broke 🙂.

oh well, I can still get freebies... like those free condoms, lubricants, vibrating things... haha j/k.
 
Got mine today @ PARAMUS NJ today. There is two locations in Paramus for those people in NJ. A&amp;S Drive had 23 in stock and RT 17 North had 16 in stock. Both had all COLORS. Stores on the NY NJ border also have plenty in stock. On Compusa's web site use ZIP CODE 07430 or 07675 (those 2 zip codes do the state borders B&amp;Ms) it will list the store locations and if in stock. As of right now ALL have more than 10 in stock. Paramus store wanted 299.00 I told the clerk please just run it thru....Rang up 199.00 ....DUH..... Now to go play with my new toy 😀
