<< The 12 X 4 is based on the Sanyo drive according to this site. >>

On that site it doesn't list the 12x4 as Burn-proof... only the 12x10.

This is a good deal. Thanks. Anyone know the warranty on the remanufactured drives?

By the way, the new 12x4x32s are $49.95 on their website.

From the Iomega website:

BURN-Proof

This feature is built into newer Iomega CD-RW (ZipCD) drives. The drives listed below have BURN-Proof technology:

Iomega CD-RW Predator? 24x10x40 USB

Iomega CD-RW 16x10x40 USB

Iomega CD-RW 16x10x40 ATAPI

Iomega CD-RW (ZipCD) 12x10x32 ATAPI

ZipCD 12x4x32 ATAPI

and this drive is a Sanyo and 'BURN-Proof' is a Trademark of SANYO Electric Co., Ltd.

Here is the Sanyo page about the drive:

Sanyo bp900p

and you can flash it to support 90 minute CD-Rs:

I didn't actually BUY any, but the website still shows both as in stock.

Might want to try again if interested.

Thanks.... Bought three!!!!

I've learned you need to jump on these deals quick if you want to beat the AnandTech effect. I went into panic mode, and place my order in approximately .005 seconds. Now I need to go back and see what exactly did I just buy???

Great deal for inexpensive CD-RW's. I'm going broke saving money again.
Thanks for the post.

Thanks for the deal. Just ordered one. They put estimated shipping date as today. Also charge sales tax for MI.

I got in at about 9:00 a.m. CST. Thanks! This is one of the hottest deals (without MIR, pricematching, lying, threatening store managers, joining class action lawsuits, etc.) that I have seen in quite a while.

It would pay to watch that page, I would think they will come back in stock, but probably at a higher price since they sold so fast.
