Chatted with an Iomega CSR this morning and she indicated that the status of "Submitted" just meant that the item was not shipped yet. She also stated that they were a little behind on getting them out because of the volume of orders on Friday (AT effect, I guess), but that if my order was submitted successfully, then they should have it in stock and the CDRW will be shipped this week.

hmm my estimated ship date was 2/22 but mine still says "submitted" and they haven't charged my account for it yet and I ordered mine around 9:20 CST.

Guess I'll just keep watching

shipped last night . 4 * 8x and 4* 12x
this are so cheap, that i'm going to replace every system's cdrom drive with cdrw. and use this as gifts :)

I just talked to the Iomega CSR and she said they were ALL OUT!!!! They won't be getting any in. I ordered mine on 2/22 and it hasn't shipped out yet. She/he said that the best they could do is give me a "discount" on a retail version. Bunch of messed up stuff. I ordered two of them.

I just ordered 1 and here i am 3 days later still at "submitted" status and I ordered at 9:30 my time (CST) or 8:30 Iomega's time last Friday.

GOD DAMN IT, once again all you punks who decide its cool to order 10 of something you only need 1 of ruined the deal for a bunch of us, i just talked to the CSR at Iomega as well and they said they filled all the "bulk" orders first so people who only ordered 1 got the shaft even if they ordered BEFORE the bulk orders were placed, so looks like I get to miss out again.

Once again Thanks to all the freaking scabs who always do this to hot deals.

I'm talking to the CSR now and they are all out. Everyone else who hasn't received their order yet is going to be cancelled. They will give you a 15% discount on retail versions, but all they have now are externals... whoopee. I really needed these drives too...

you're outta luck then, the freaking mass ordering scabs once again ruined the deal. They are out and if your order hasn't changed to shipped yet they will be cancelling it in the next day or two according to the CSR.

Yeah, I ordered on Friday also and was worried that it hadn't shipped out yet. CSR says it won't ever ship out. :) :(

Well, I guess I saved myself $45. That can't be a bad thing.

Just wanna reiterate what JDorn said.... People that buy more than just a couple of an item and egay/resell the extras are azzholes and ruin the deal for everyone else.....

I just know egay will be flooded with these models very soon.

I agree with being angry with those who purchase multiple drives just to resell them, but I purchased three to increase my HOT DEAL and get free shipping. And if it makes you feel any better, I didn't get mine either..... (hot deals don't stay very long around here)

I ordered on the 22nd, shipped on the 25th, tracking says it (12 X 4 X 32) should be here tomorrow... oh, and I only ordered one. Now, what to do with that "free" Phillips pos.

Hmm, must have been luck of the draw. Placed an order early on the 22nd, spoke to a CSR yesterday and was told the drive would ship this week. Talked to another one today and was told that my order would be cancelled because they didn't have any left. Guess Iomega's never heard of real time inventory tracking. Bummer.

I just received an e-mail from Iomega saying that my order was cancelled due to lack of inventory. Did anyone else have this happen to them as well?

Also just got my cancellation notice from Iomega.

Like their Zip drives, The Iomega Corp. is totally undependable.
A company as large as them and yet they have no idea what level inventories are available at any given moment.
Oh well I expect the big "Click of Death" is just around the corner for the whole company.

What really chaps my hide is that Iomega is showing absolutely no customer support. People who ordered later than I did have gotten their drives shipped and some who ordered earlier than me didn't.

Wouldn't you think that any reputable company would fill orders in the order in which they were received? It just makes sense to me.

Again I'd like to reiterate my stance as to the "egayers" who just buy a ton of something everytime there is a deal, its you people and people like you who always point out flaws in companies pricing before anyone other than yourself can take advantage of it. Ie the people like you who ordered over 100 Nics from Dell a few weeks ago when they were going for $1 so no one else could get in.

I think I'm done with all this damn hot deal crap as unless you're the person who finds it, the deal will be long since ruined by they "egayers" within the first 10 minutes of the deal being alive.

Sorry guys, I ordered 15 12x and 10 8x. They started arriving today. WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! EBAY HERE I COME.
