UPDATE - 2/18/13

This is the first time the HD7970 has hit $350 since the new promotion started. Just be wary - this card gets so-so reviews on Newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150596

Awesome deal - the ~$170 HD7850s and ~$280 HD7950s are particularly good deals given the game bundle.

Just note - these are all pre-release games, so you'll need to wait until the release dates to play them.

Wow the 7950s have dipped below 300, now with Bioshock Inf. I just wish AMD's driver doesn't make me want to pull my hair out. I still haven't figured out why the OC tab in CCC keeps disappearing :hmm:

Pulled the trigger on an XFX DD 7850 last night. Been waiting for a good deal on a GPU so I can play Aliens: Colonial Marines in a couple weeks.

mothereffer and I just picked up a 680 with ACIII a month ago. I have no need for a new card, but I would have definitely went for this if I hadn't gotten the 680.

Careful with the Gigabyte. I don't think it has voltage control.

This thread keeps tempting me.

I do NOT need another video card.

This is tempting. I currently have an AMD Athlon X4 635 with integrated graphics, so I don't game much. I've been looking at graphics cards for a while now and this offer looks good. I'm wondering if the Radeon 7850 will be too powerful for my PC. I looked at the 7770 and 6850 but the 7850 seems to be substantially more powerful. Just wondering if it is overkill for my CPU. Thanks.

There's a used 6950 for $99 here:

I'd do that or search for a used GTX 460/6850 unless you're really interested in the games that come with the 7850.

Awesome deal! Have to keep telling myself: I got such a backlog of games by the time I would get around to playing them I they would each be around $ 5 on steam.

I'm currently running two MSI Cyclone 1GB GTX 460's in SLI with a Core I5 760 at 1900 x 1200 resolution.

Would any of these cards be a worthwhile upgrade without bottle-necking my cpu?

I figure I could ebay the 460's for at least $60 each and I'm interested in playing that new Bioshock.

In games with good scaling you should be at around stock 7870/7950 levels. An overclocked 7850 should be able to get you there and give you an additional 1GB VRAM for the sale price of your GTX 460's (should be able to get $85 each for them).

Tempting..but my current card so far has no problems [unless the new games will really tax my 1gb HD6870. The only reason I'd pick up a card is to specifically grab the free games and resell the card back to break even.

sucks they don't let you pick the 2 games, I'd like a higher end card, but would definitely take Tomb Raider over Crysis 3 if I had the choice.

I'd also recommend this card for people wanting close to 7950 performance (and probably more than once overclocked). It should have been called the 7930 (since it's a stripped down 79XX series), but I guess AMD wanted to confuse people.

PowerColor PCS+ 7870 (Tahiti LE) 239.99 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...erColor%20myst

Pretty sweet deal with the games.

sweet, my gigabyte 7950 is clocked at 1GHz out of the box!

lovin this thing so far.

skyrim + hi-res textures + all settings maxed at 2560x1440 = 60 fps constant
crysis 2 + dx11 + hi-res + all settings maxed at 2560x1440 = 30-40 fps

:awe:
