Let's see. What disease affects cattle that isn't easily killed by heating the food?

Mad Cow Disease?

Especially since any other time, they say, "possibly contaminated with E Coli, or possibly contaminated with <something else>. This time, they're kind of hush hush about what the disease is.

Yea agreed.

It doesn't take a genius to figure it out. They were taking cows that were supposed to be sent to a rendering plant IE to make dog food, where they grind the cow head and all, and they were using that in human food. Hence "unfit for human consumption"

That 8.7 million lbs of beef recall was mostly in Cali so I figured I was safe but now all these manufacturers are finding out they bought from that supplier. Hot pockets aren't the only one I'm sure, just the only ones with a good enough log to realize it first.

"No one has gotten sick yet" is easy to kick under the rug when the incubation is 20-50years.

Honestly anyone who didn't see this coming was an idiot though, with the high beef prices and the change in taste of processed beef it doesn't take a genius to figure out what they were doing. Chicken overtook beef as peoples favorite meat and its probably because beef is so poor quality these days.

I used to like Hot Pockets in college. Besides the lava burning me each time and the diarrhea they're pretty awesome. At least the pepperoni pizza one.

No but seriously after that stand up routine I had to stop eating them. Or maybe I had to stop eating them due to the diarrhea. The world will never know.

Are ranchers/cow producers able to keep herds of cows afflicted with mad cow disease?

I have my doubts, but there's plenty out there that can ruin the ability of the cow to be processed for human consumption regardless of what's actually present in the meat.

Hot pockets are what you eat in college when you've spent all your money on booze, and even the McDonald's dollar menu is too rich for your blood.

I like the Chicken Garlic & cheese whatever lean pocket, Hot Pockets are also infinitely better if you microwave them for half the recommended time then toss them in a deep fryer wrapped in bacon.

They're not even that cheap. Two McDoubles is less than a box of two Hot Pockets and has more food and 7% less mad cow disease.

I'd eat a roll of pennies if you wrapped it in bacon and deep fried it. That doesn't make it food.
