I recently bought the x850 pro for $179 from microcenter. That should hold me for a year.

With tax and after rebate, the xt would have worked out to about $25 more.

Im going from an nvidia 5600ultra 4pp/128mb/128 interface to 12pp/256ddr3/256 interface. And no, Im not going to do the soft mod. 🙁
 
I just picked up my X850XT at the Microcenter in St. Louis Park, Minnesota. There were at least three more on the shelf, accompanied by a small sign advertising them as $199 AR (not to mention a cute girl handling order pickups).
 
Just got a notice back from ATI stating that my original submission did not include an original serial number from an ATI graphics card. Upon revisiting the box, I found that indeed, was the part of the box I sent to them. Upon revisiting the form that was sent in, it said an original UPC from the purchase or the product serial number, all that I have left to give to them is the original Microcenter UPC barcode...

I'm not sure what to give them.
