Hi, I have 2 questions.

(1) What is packing slip in Amazon? Is it outside of mailing Box, or the one inside the mailing box, outside of Netgear orginal box?

(2) What is sales receipt of Amazon. Go to the account page, and there is a "print invoice", is
that is the offical recept?

Thanks a lot,

:)

My MR814 shipped today, I still haven't recieved the card yet though. I have no doubt that Amazon will stand behind the rebate...

Got mine today and it's all hooked up. Works GREAT!! A big upgrade for me over my 3com 3C 510 broadband router as this lets you set a lot of options and allows you 20 port fowards (versus 10 on my 3com and Linksys)..

Anyway, I get at least 90% wireless power throughout my whole house (2800square feet)

The only thing bad so far is the size of the thing, it's HUGE! Like 10" wide x 6" deep... I was expecting something around 8x5.

Great deal! Now I just gotta wait on my PCMCIA adapter.

I just got mine yesterday...interent setup was a breeze but I had a hiccup on networking of my laptop and desktop because I did not know to make my software firewall was not just disabled but uninstalled completely ...so off went Zonealarm and network works like a charm..a bit slower than I expected but I guess my expectations were too high

Anyone know how to use the detachable antenna to improve perfromance

Also my new home is prewired for networking(with cat 5 lines in most of the major rooms) so this setup is probably not as important now....but still nice for the hardware firewall and wirless setup for out laptop

I guess I got lucky when I ordered it. People had posted a while back in this thread that the router was coming from OD but I checked on it anyway and got one from Amazon directly. Ordered and received both the router and the card in same box about 4-5 days later.

Rebate is mailed off and the router works great. I used this to replace my netgear rt311 which I used to have to reboot constantly but I haven't had to reboot this new yet. Haven't got a use for the wireless card yet..will have to wait till I get an adapter.

For the person asking about the packing slip..mine was in the shipping box and seperate from the router and card.

Laters,

bgmartin

Just received a note saying it had shipped. Looked at the main page and saw that the standard price has gone down $15 since I paid. Wonder if they would adjust? If so the total would come down to $25:D

Will let you know how they respond.

Of good not, the router that shipped yesterday will be delivered today. Good thing about the regional distro center being only one state over :)

Well, now as long as the rebates are good this will be a flamin deal for me :D
it probably helped that I told them it had been a month between the time I ordered and it was shipped.

Thank you for writing to Amazon.com.

The discounts we offer for items on our web site do vary from time to
time. I've checked your order (#------------------), and found that
we now offer a greater discount on "Netgear MR814 802.11b Wireless 4-
Port Cable/DSL Router" than at the time you placed your order.

Since this item was shipped so recently, I have requested a refund of
$15.00 to your credit card. This amount reflects the difference
between the price you were charged and the discounted price. The
refund should appear as a credit on your next billing statement.

Hooked it up last night in relatively little time. I had borrowed a friends 401 card while staying over there house before so I already ahd the software installed on the lappy. Within 5 minutes of opening I had a good connection between the card and router. Less than 10 minutues till I had full web access.

Did take a bit longer to get it to work as I'd like with the rest of my home workgroup. Had to change the ay I had the cable plugged in as I'm using the 814 as an access point. But after an hour of doing a little research and some trial and error I can now browse the folders on my desktop and everything else like normal.

Now to just turn in the rebates for a final price of $25 :)

Amazon credited me the $15 as well....of course I did not try to PM to BB where some stores are selling it at $50 the router

The setup works great and was overall easy to setup
