king...I agree exactly with you.
Jebus, here is the deal I used. I called staples and price matched + $40 off coupon.
crucial 256MB @ staples
Price match here....
crucial 256MB @ onvia
$169.26 - $40 coupon = a very nice price of $129.26 + tax. My total worker out to about $137 after taxes. I also bought 3 64MB sticks for $30.99 + tax ea., but that deal is dead without the $20 off $50 coupons.
Don't forget Onvia has free shipping, but some staples CSR's will try to add next day air. Staples will NOT ship it this way. Mine came UPS ground so don't let them add any shipping charges.
And to all you guys touting the mushkin pc150 memory, you haven't even begun to convince me it's better buy than 256MB crucial running over 133 cl2. My CUSL2 board/p3 700 will go up to about 145 mhz. Using an AMD duron/MSI K7T pro 2-A (my home system) makes anything above pc133 cl2 pointless. If you want to throw the money at a few more mhz for memory that you may not use, then go ahead. I'll have either more memory, or more money to spend on ddr memory when it becomes the standard.
