Can we possibly organize a group buy? Does anyone know how to do this? Are there any resellers who are willing to sell it at cost for the holiday season?!?

Please use the term !!HOT!! more sparingly... There is nothing hot about an item that is being sold at the regular price. Thank you...

I just got 256 megs of crucial 7.5 ns pc 133 cl3 (runs cl2 fine) for about $137 last week. I used a price match (can't remember now which store...maybe buy.com) at staples and a $40 off coupon to achieve this. You're gonna have a tough time convincing me that paying almost as much for 128 megs is somehow a better deal. I've bought from mushkin, and I paid almost $200 for 128 megs of memory from them. That was before I was a card carrying member of all these online deal hunting forums. Mushkin makes really good stuff. I just can't see how it's that much better. Also, isn't DDR main system memory right around the corner? Why pay twice what you have to for quality memory, when a new type will be released in the near future. That will make whatever you buy now just extra memory for a spare system if you're lucky enough to be able to keep two computers.

its not the same as rev 2 , all other ram on the market that claimed PC150 did so at cl3, this does it at cl2. And that is just what the manufacturer garuntees!

Not hot at all. As a matter of fact it's !!FREEZING!! cold. I just got 128 Crucial PC-133 2-2-2 for $86 and FREE shipping. Every bit as good as Mushkin without the hype and high price. Now thats !!HOT!!

Hot deal? No. But please don't slam the guy. This is Quality stuff that is doing cas2 at 166 MHz according to the reviews. That is not shabby and makes it worth the price IF your CPU/MB/components can reach that high. Theoretically my MB (a P3V4X w/ ICS clock generator) can, but in reality it cannot.

Turin39789,

This actually IS the same stuff, all it is is hand picked of rev. 2. They test the stuff to see which chips will go this high and call it rev. 3 and charge more money for it. Thing is you could buy rev. 2 and still get memory that will also do this. I have 256 megs of crucial in my machine running at 143fsb cas2-2-2 and am perfectly happy at this speed. At 150 I was only getting 3-2-2 but my processor was also running warm so I kicked it back down.

You really should do some research before you throw people off. These are the exact same chips as rev. 2 just hand picked, and they charge a premium for them. If you really want cas2-2-2 chips at a good price, buy KingMax's TinyBGA memory. $77 for 128 megs and i've seen it do 166mhz fsb at cas2-2-2 so mushkin rev. 3 isn't the only memory that will do it.

Damn it people...stop flaming him. And PLEASE stop comparing CL3 crucial sticks to the rev. 3 sticks. There is no comparison. For those who actually could use these sticks, it is a warm deal. I hate when uninformed people need to stick their nose where ot does not/shouldn't belong. If you don't think it is a hot deal then don't post in it and let it fall from the top. And BTW....kingMax is crap, everyone knows it.

I wasn't comparing CL3 Crucial I was comparing CL2 Crucial. Obviously you haven't used KingMax or you wouldn't say it's crap. Try some in your machine and see how good it is before you go flaming it, which you say we shouldn't be doing.

Check this thread out for explanation on this new RAM.

Tho i agree this isnt exactly a "hot" deal in price since FS/FT forum has mushkin rev2 for $81 fro 128.

I wasn't responding to you...

I have - 144@cl3 is as high as it would go. Plus a friend of mine's stick bite the dust after 3 weeks. That is why I say it is crap.

This is still a hot deal.

If you want to list ALL the other brands that are exactly GUARANTEED to do the SAME... by all means do it.

I for one.... want to see ALL the sticks that are sold AS Pc150 222.
I don't want to see ANY that someone found will do this or GET CLOSE...
just the facts. List all the PC150 222 sticks you know of.

Then you will see that this is a great buy.

JACKHAMMER:

Hmm I suppose that's possible ... strange though, in reference to the KingMax memory. I ran this no problem at 150 2-2-2.... I suppose all RAM has chances of not running at high as other pieces however.... Still very strange. I've read a lot of reviews as well, even one that got the stuff up to 154mhz cas2-2-2. Sorry you had bad luck with it though. I mainly bought the Crucial I own now because I got a great deal on it at the time and didn't know about the KingMax. Built my roommate's machine with the Kingmax however.

Ya...this may not be a hot deal, but please don't start putting down mushkin. Mushkin's Rev. 2 and 3 modules are absolutely top of the line. I have not read anywhere about any crucial memmory clocking as high as mushkin Rev. 2 and 3 (that doesn't mean it is not true..but) on a consistent basis on all supported chipsets and motherboards.

In addition, Mushkins customer service kicks the pants off every other vendor I've ever dealt with.

$133 for Rev. 3..not so hot. But Athlon users should just but some Rev. 1.5 when it goes on special. Rev. 1.5 runs PC133@cas2 no problem; my price a month ago was $178 shipped for two 128MB sticks.

I've been an reading a lot in this forum. So here is my grand first message. I am a reseller for Muskin ram, if you are interested in the 150@222 please reply in the forum so I can get a count of people (and number of dimms you want). The more people the less expensive it will be. I will be purchasing 4 for myself regardless of anyone else :)

The PC150 HSDRAM runs at 232 @ 150mhz. The chip is from EMS solutions in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

The PC150 SDRAM runs at 222 @ 150mhz. It is designed as PC133 but will run at 222 @ 150mhz as long as your mobo/cpu yada yada will accept that speed. The chips are from Moxel (Highest Quality Infineon). Every memory module (non ECC) that I have seen come out of Muskin that is of the highest quality has Moxel chips on them.

Kingmax PC150 128mb in my opinion for $75 works at 222. True mushkin's high quality but hey, why pay more when I can get the same performace from Kingmax?

If you need 150 fsb, you want a ram labeled as pc150, then you need to pay more for this rev3.

If you're real overclocker, you use amd, you don't need 150, get crucial pc133 cl3 for $66 and play real overclocking.

king...I agree exactly with you.

Jebus, here is the deal I used. I called staples and price matched + $40 off coupon.

crucial 256MB @ staples

Price match here....crucial 256MB @ onvia

$169.26 - $40 coupon = a very nice price of $129.26 + tax. My total worker out to about $137 after taxes. I also bought 3 64MB sticks for $30.99 + tax ea., but that deal is dead without the $20 off $50 coupons.

Don't forget Onvia has free shipping, but some staples CSR's will try to add next day air. Staples will NOT ship it this way. Mine came UPS ground so don't let them add any shipping charges.

And to all you guys touting the mushkin pc150 memory, you haven't even begun to convince me it's better buy than 256MB crucial running over 133 cl2. My CUSL2 board/p3 700 will go up to about 145 mhz. Using an AMD duron/MSI K7T pro 2-A (my home system) makes anything above pc133 cl2 pointless. If you want to throw the money at a few more mhz for memory that you may not use, then go ahead. I'll have either more memory, or more money to spend on ddr memory when it becomes the standard.

jamey, is the onvia and staples cl2?
if yes, so we could also get it from onvia for $145(final price) using $25 off coupon on Nov 30-31.
much cheaper than from crucial for $186+tax.

Offically it is 7.5ns pc133 cl3. Mine however, runs beautifully @ pc133 cl2. I haven't tried higher, cause I am running a MSI k7t Pro 2-A board.
