Doorbell? At 5:12 p.m.? Did my roommate lock himself out? Well, it's happened once before, so it's not inconceivable...
Well, what have we here? Why, it's a long cylindrical object, addressed to me, from the WB shop!
Yes, this poster is most certainly 3D. The best way I can describe it is that it gives the impression of being about an inch thick when you look at it. You'll understand when you see it for yourself, but it definitely IS 3D. As for lenticular, the illusion of depth causes the characters, or more precisely, the colors in the "inside", to shift as you move the poster about. It literally looks as if you could poke something inside the characters, as though they were cut out of the black poster face with a haze of various shades of green light shining from behind the face. Incredibly cool effect, very much more than I was expecting (figured it'd be just plain old foil characters). Since I didn't have an opportunity to see the "official" poster at the theater (first they fail to display the digital rain poster(s), then they screw up my RESERVED A MONTH IN ADVANCE tickets... they're not going to get much more business from me at this rate), I can't make a comparison, but it looks like the real thing to me.
