$75 for a poster?!?! I feel sorry for anyone who ordered it off AllPosters. That's pretty ridiculous to me, no matter how cool it might look in person. Just go dl the Matrix Code screensaver or something. :D

I have 4 posters and 9 frames on the way. I will let you know how this $25 (shipped) poster turn out to be. I ordered it Thursday night, 5/21/03. thanks for the heads up on the deal. When all is said and done I may even take some pics! Until later, peace.

For matrix fans such as myself, I would advise others to isolate themselves from the Enter The Matrix videogame. Apparently, my sources have told me that the storyline in the game is to take place AFTER the 3-part trilogy, and everything in the game is a complete spoiler for those of us that are interested in decoding the matrix for ourselves. Heck, the fact that there IS a matrix after the trilogy (since it's in the game) suspends a handful of theories alone. On the other hand, the Animatrix shorts available for download and to be seen on the dvd do not spoil the continuity of the story, so i'm told.

Your sources are wrong. The story shows what happened from the start of Reloaded to the end of the movie. It does not show anything that happens in or after Revolutions. It does show an alternate trailer to the one that was shown after the credits of Reloaded in the theaters. However, the gameplay itself sucks. You basically suffer through it to watch the cutscenes shot specifically for the game which are pretty interesting.

Thought it was ok. But, as I heard someone say, it's starting treat it's own myth as mythology.

1.)Bad, long rave scene (I hate to think that the last members of our race are all 20 somethings hopped up on X).
2.)Too much 9th grade stoner pseudo-philosophy (Not what you do but why you do...pass the Cheetos)
3.)Too much flying (next thing you know, Neo is flying around Manhattan with Margot Kidder).
4.)Way too many slow-mo's, way too much HIGH POWERED MUSIC!!!! during fight scenes(eg. fight scene with the Oracle's guard). If you want to be groundbreaking, step away from the phenomenon you created and reinvent instead of rehash.

I've heard people say how others can't keep up with the movie and that, by mastering the mysteries of this movie that somehow, they are enlightened and can truly appreciate the film. I understood everything. I own both the falling code and the Agent Smith and the Twins theaterical posters. I'm a big fan. But while the story's interesting and a neat concept, it's just poorly told. It's muddied and uses action scenes to illicit emotional response rather than story and character development.

Sorry, just didn't feel the connection like in the first. And the CGI, while groundbreaking at times (the Agent(s) Smith scene is great), falls into the same pratfalls as many other movies: there's way too much, and when it doesn't work, it's a distraction.

Geez people, take the whining about Matrix to OFF TOPIC.

Anyways people, please update when you guys do get it. If it looks good I'm definitely looking to get one. I'm just kinda dissapointed that all it has is "05.15". Wish it actually had the title or something other than a date.

I would buy this if they only had one without the "5.15" on it. Looks kind of strange on one's wall.

Why does everyone call it a rave? Did no-one listen to Morpheus' speech?

It was an affirmation of life. It was a celebration of freedom. It was a thunderous warning and reminder to any machines close enough to hear, that the human race would NOT be cowed, or destroyed.

Those who want to make a comparison would be MUCH better off pointing to tribal war dances as a valid real-life parallel. Not drug-induced parties with glowsticks. In fact, if you look at the entire Zion representation, it's almost perfectly modeled on tribal traditions and cultures. No-one reads or watches the Discovery channel these days?

I can't wait to get mine. I ordered it a couple of days ago after e-mailing them if it was the holographic one. cashman already confirmed it, but here's the e-mail I got:

Dear Customer,

THE MATRIX RELOADED Digital Rain Poster is the official final Digital Rain Poster from THE MATRIX RELOADED. Printed single sided on a special, heavyweight metallic paper that has a holofoil appearance. This is the same poster that is displayed in theaters, printed on the same run. 27 x 41 inches, available in strictly limited quantities. All posters are shipped in sturdy tubes and are suitable for framing.

So this one is UV coated like the allposters one? The allposters one says Matrix Reloaded 2003 - which is a bit more appealing than 5.15 IMO.

Look closely at the $75 Allposters version and the one for $17 at the other place-- notice that the 5-15 in the Allposter's version has the Rain effect running through the numbers, and the $17 one does not. Maybe the $17 picture is not an actual representation, but the price difference...well smells. You get what you pay for.

I think it's just the camera angle. two diffrent views. IF you look really closely you can see the numbers are positioned diffrently too. I think they are the same posters.

There very well may be a $10 off $59 coupon for allposters.com floating around in case anyone wants that version.

I hope you're right. We'll know for sure when those who ordered report back as to whether it was legit.

I'm rather skeptical, too. The "3D/Lenticular" bit in the AllPosters description is the important bit that's conspicuously absent from all TheMatrixStore's info. Hopefully someone will get theirs soon and let us all know.

Just ordered. At 23.00 it isn't that much of a risk if it's the wrong one. Thx for the heads up.

Maybe not for you, but for starving college kids, that's a lot of money to have lost to a rip off (not saying this is, just hypothetically).

Has anyone rec'd their poster? I'm curious to hear if it is in fact the same holographic poster.

Yes, the poster from thematrixshop.com is the 3d looking one that moves despite the picture they show not looking like that. How do I know this? Because mine arrived 3 days ago..... Too bad for all the suckers that bought one for like 3-4x the price....

I didn't receive mine yet, and I'm the one who started this post.

I didn't even get a shipping confirmation :(

This poster IS the holographic poster btw. I asked specifically about that from the the store:
"THE MATRIX RELOADED Digital Rain Poster is the official final Digital Rain Poster from THE MATRIX RELOADED. Printed single sided on a special, heavyweight metallic paper with a holofoil appearance. While we can't attest to the authenticity of the poster seen on ebay, we can assure you that our posters are originals and not reprints."

Gee, if it came down to trusting EBay or another poster store, or WarnerBros themselves, I think I know who to side with.

ed. Mine did ship already, just never got an e-mail I guess.

We all read your post about what they said, but just wanted independent confirmation of the veracity of their statement. After all, internet stores and honesty usually don't go hand in hand (newegg being a wonderful exception).

I suppose I guess.

While I don't blindly trust everyone, I trust anyone who deserves to be trusted. We'll see soon for sure I guess.

I have no worries, personally. I did before I emailed though.

Anyone know where to get a 27"x40" frame for a decent amount? I was at a Walgreens yesterday and I saw that they had some 27"x32" but no 27x40.
