Seriously, the way I hold mice, I could never use one of these. I hold the mouse sideways with just my fingertips. I don't know why, but I do know that I'm on the computer 60 hours a week for the past 5 years and have never had wrist problems and can game with anybody, so I guess it works for me.

Good deal though. Just wish they'd make a performance optical mouse with the old school generic/uncontoured shape I need.

the mx300 seems pretty generic to me, along with the intellimouse 1.1
 
Yeah, the MX300 is what you want. I also prefer the smaller, non-contoured shape and the MX300 works beautifully.

Yes, well... it's better than a wired MX700. The MX500 was a wired MX700. The MX510 improves on the MX500's internals slightly, but it's physically the same.

EDIT: unless i find a good deal on the mx510 blue the red is like 10$ less :thumbsdown:
 
Anyone have a clue why the blue is 10 bucks more? I've already got a blue/black theme goin for my rig and would like to keep that goin by getting the blue instead of the red. Not sure if it's worth the $10 difference to do so.

Curious, does anyone even have the blue? From the pics it looks like the red is actually the cooler color with that paintscheme...
 
It is definitely worth it, this mouse is awesome. Don't buy the MX1000 if you?re serious about gaming, get this instead.

Tonight the rebate is on the blue making it 31.99 but cannot fine the rebate form anywere. Man I just bought a mx 1000 yesterday for 54.99. What to do?😕
