If you already printed out or saved the rebate, it's good till the 30th and all you have to do is add it to your cart form the list on the right side of the page. Sneaky Amazon........but not sneaky enough.

The rebate form is currently linked. It's here.. For purchase between 11-15 and 11-30, which rules me out, having bought on 11/9. I figure I'll get it today, maybe tomorrow.

I installed the MX510 this morning and had to uninstall the MouseWare. I assigned Middle Button to the middle button, and I thought this was great because I have a utility that uses the middle button. The IE Intellimouse I was using didn't have an option to use the middle button as a middle button! Duh. So, I had to uninstall the Intellimouse software to use the mouse, when I was using that.

When I saw that the MouseWare for the MX510 supports using the middle button as a middle button, I was very pleased. However, I was getting weird behavior a lot of the time. The left mouse button just wasn't having an effect a lot of the time or the effect was delayed for several seconds (20 seconds or more). Things like clicking an application in the Windows 2000 tray didn't send me to tha application. Also, the scroll wheel stopped working a lot of the time. Stuff like that I don't need, so I uninstalled the MouseWare and all that stuff is working again. I just don't have some of the other stuff that the MouseWare gives you (whatever the Hell that is- I guess ignorance is bliss). Also, the Logitech Resource Center went bye bye, and I refused to install the other crap from the CD - the Desktop something-or-other, etc. and I figure I don't need reminders of newer versions of their drivers since they insist on tieing in product offers...
 
FYI, I had to use paper that was 13 inches long (legal paper) to get all of the rebate form to print on the page. Why they had to use a jpg file that wouldn't fit on a regular piece of paper is a bit of a puzzlement.

I have one and need it for home theater stuff (HTPC), but I much prefer either my corded Intellimouse of my new MX510, which feel pretty equivalent to me so far (no big difference). If you don't need the wireless feature I'd recommend sticking with corded. I don't like the center button/scroll wheel on the wireless Intellimouse.

I hear you. I like minimal drivers myself. But, I installed their sortware (Mouseware) and it was fairly minimal.
 
Bought the red one for my daughter cause she loves the MX700 on our HTPC.
Got it today and now my wife wants one too. (Too bad only one rebate per household!)
 
im heading to BB tmrw, ill give her a spin and if i like it, ill run home and order so i can get in on the rebate 🙂
