Uh-oh! Excuse me sir or ma'am, since when did I become obliged to express the same opinion as you or anyone else? So having a different opinion makes one a "troll". Wooohoo! That's new to me. Oh my God! I'm proud to be one by your standard of reasoning.
Perhaps you should take your time to read my posts dating from May 2000 first at hot deal forum and then the others I made at Off Topic.
I find it quite despicable that of all the opinions expressed here, mine seems to matter the most to you Spazntwich and Dartman111. Excuse me? Have not you noted other members expressed the same opinion as I? So what's with the attitude and singling me out, sir or ma'am?
Dartman111, I cannot follow your logic on how my statement infers that 99% of the female population are "average". But let's say we accept your gross interpretation of my statement, so what is wrong if women are average? Got a problem with it?
The whole concept of beauty is discriminative. When you choose to distinguish beauty, then you're accepting that ugliness exists and average looks exist. And by the same token, you are accepting criticism, for it takes discriminative selection to sort beauty.
Therefore, why is it wrong if I am of the opinion that none of the ladies posted here within this thread is hot?
Hon', do you mean to tell me that majority of the ladies' pics posted here actually represent the millions of women on this planet? You mean to tell me these are statistically good samples to draw such ridiculous inference that 95% or 99% of the female population is not hot according to my standard. Please spare me, hon'.
Sir, by your reasoning, we shouldn't have beauty pageant 'cuz then there's really obvious best and all judges will reach the same conclusion. Last I checked, you weren't some divine authority as you imply by stating it is impossible for one to soundly conclude that the ladies presented are not hot-looking. If that were so, I suggest, you start to act as judges in beauty pageant and disqualify all judges who disagree with you, for despotism seems to work in beauty pageant according to your reasoning.
Sorry if you missed my pic (which is not the best of all pics I ever had, nonetheless good), but I will not provide you that. I'm not into some competition game. I am entitled to my opinion as you are. I ask that you respect it as I respect yours. Thank you.
SMP, I hear you. If to you beauty is not what society defines it, it's all good. Define it and I'll accept it and tell you by that standard if an individual meets your standard. People criticise our society for finding thinness, nice legs, etc. part of beauty, but I can assure your that in other societies in the world, if one is not fat, one is looked down upon and told to add weight. In fact, sometimes they must add weight to attract a man or even be considered anything. In such societies, the women have little authority and the men are the decision-makers. So, in every society, one man's trash is another's treasure. What is beauty in some societies is not in others. If you take the beautiful slender ladies in our society to some societies, they'll be mocked. In such societies, fatness is beauty. It's a matter of who's in power and the prevailing belief and the experiences that shape the traditions, technological advances that constitutes beauty in societies.
