*HOT* Free Nvidia Geforce 5200 AR

From the picture it looks like a low profile card. I think all of those had 64bit memory. Don't expect much 3D performance, but for a spare, for HTPC, or for old school gaming like CS it should be fine. I have more AGP cards than I need, but free AR is always good.

Stupid Fry's (none in my area)

These make great backup cards in case of emergeny.

Or for family\friends who rely on you for tech support.

If Fry's "instant gift rebate" works the way I've heard it does, then you could pick up the Samsung ML-2010 laser printer AND the Geforce for about $48 AR, right?

Correct.

Acts as a store credit.

For those posters that do not have a Fry's nearby, try to contact someone that does and ask them to obtain the items for you (if the cost of handling would be worth the savings).

Yeah, it'd be better than a GF3, and GF4 up to ti4200.
I STRONGLY suggest that anyone contemplating the purchase of an Nvidia 5200-based card do his/her own research.

Most people who "upgraded" from a Geforce 3 to an Fx 5200 were strongly disappointed. I own one (and, in fact, sold a Geforce 3 to pay for it), but I bought it because it had dual monitor support, not because it was suitable for gaming.

Regarding Fx 5200 versus Ti4200, the Ti4200 overwhelms the Fx5200 in most games.

But, again, do your own research on this one.
