Hot Dogs...what brand to get?

superHARD

Diamond Member
Well, is there a hot dog brand that the guys here at AT would recommend?

I'm on a low-carb diet, and hot dogs are a good solution for me.

Beef, chicken, turkey, pork, kat, mouse, lizard, goose, rabbit, snake, deer, etc...?

I like:
Ball Park (they mother fvcking plump when you mother fvcking cook them!)
Hebrew National
Nathan's Cheddar Cheese beef franks

thats it! great hot dogs! just great.

actually they aren't bad. i just prefer the hebrew nationals. not that i care if they are kosher but they do taste better.

I've never had Hebrew National. We don't eat hog dogs often, but then next time I buy some I'll have to check them out.

toss up between Hebrew National and Nathans

I love turkey dogs, though... same taste and a ton less fat/calories.

I bought some Ball Park turkey dogs last week along with some Ball Park beef hot dogs. I had one turkey dog and threw them all away. I like turkey bacon as a substitute for regular bacon, but for hot dogs, turkey doesn't come close IMHO.

Hot dogs and diet used in the same sentence is a prime example of all that is wrong with this country.

There is nothing wrong with a hotdog once in a while. All things in moderation.

Hell, have you seen the fatty meats northern Europeans eat (especially the Germans)? And of the industrialized nations, they have the lowest obesity rate.

Hebrew National FTW.

thats it!

Yup, hands down, the best hot dogs out there. However, I also agree with the guy who suggested brats... 🙂

Hebrew National, Sinai Kosher, Best's Kosher, or Vienna Beef. These are all good quality hotdogs.

Thank you for that...
Mental note "X" off turkey dogs.

I have tried the Nathan dogs (mostly because we share names) and they were ok (8 out of 10)...but I'm looking for a 10!
