BOTH a $50 AND a $60 rebate???

Anyone going to try this? That means this monitor will be free if it goes through according to what 8602081 says...

Folks... If you READ carefully when filling out the online rebate form you'll see clearly that they consider "that" Mail Fraud sending in multiple rebates for the same item. They qoute some section of Federal law. So squash that idea. $50 for a 17" monitor is a HOT deal anyways 🙂

I bought this yesterday morning around 11 am..
I just got it this morning at 8:30 in the morning.
That's less than 24 hours..
I call that service..

Sengar, they charged my credit card for $75.xx for the TV and then a credit card "reimbursement" for $69.95 will appear. This is what I was told when I ordered the Free TV after the fact.

I pricematched the 1100 HP Photosmart printer with OM for $229.99 and took the $40 coupon and the free TV and the next day my wife ordered the Pixie 17" monitor and a pen and took the $40 coupon! I LOVE Staples!

do they deliver on Saturdays? Oh and I'm a rookie to the Staples rebate thing, if we submit one online, do we still need to mail the receipt and UPC in???

Man, this is such a sweet deal... it's those darn rubberbands for $0.26 that I had a hard time openning my wallet for. $0.26!!! I'm back in the poor house.

Staples uses their own trucks and UPS. My last order and this one were btoh dropped off by UPS. Still next day though.

WOW!

Great deal for our second PC system.

Just ordered over the phone...Pixie 770 17" Monitor and they took my coupon code $40 off 0f $150. Had to add some paper clips to put me over $150 😀 hmmm...maybe rubber bands may have been the better choice !

The deal is cool..

After the $40 off coupon
=$119.21 including sales tax and free shipping
less the $60 rebate
= total of $59.21 !

They did quote 3-5 days for shipping via UPS since I live out of the 20 mile zone for 1 day shipping.

That's OK...Nice after xmas present!

Hey CirekL, where the heck did you get a 72,000 RPM hard drive?! Dude, that thing must SCREAM. Or maybe you've discovered some fancy new hard drive overclocking technique?

i have a 19 inch pixie as my main monitor, hey it was cheap. They aren't bad monitors. I run at 1024x768 and there is no flicker at all. While i have seen better monitors, i don't notice every little detail playing a game at all. It's perfect for a gaming monitor because it's large and cheap. I'd take this monitor anyday over a midrange 17 inch that i would get with the same amount of cash.

Guys... remember add your free TV by phone after you placed your order online, gonna expired tonight 🙂
$119 - $60mir = $59 for 17" monitior + free TV, I love staples.

can someone email me the coupon code (40 off of 150) to

songokou1@tweak3d.net because I missplaced my bigsavings.com website address or whatever it was.

because you aren't allowed to post in on anandtech, so send it to me please...

what about a tv? Is it big or good?

does the ups dude do delivery confirmation on your monitor when you got it? Usually, for me, they leave it under the rain or at the front door to have it get stolen..... I don't know, I hope they have a "sign" here label for once...

If you get this with free tv, you might get it next week.
They told me they need to get the tv over to my area (seattle) and then have them ship together. Oh well, awesome deal still.

Aceman,

I was told that I qualified for the free TV originally, then charged, and told during a subsequent phone call that I had been deemed ineligible because the $40 coupon brought my order below $150. Not only that, but I was told that a Staples courier was set to bring my order to my door the next morning, and he shows up at 9am with - get this - a box of anti-static wipes. I understand that they are "the right way to clean computer monitors and screens."

I'm thinking that I'll have to do some focused complaining tomorrow to either get the charge credited back, or the TV cancelled. I may have been a bit too greedy on this one. (Although I haven't entirely dismissed the theory that a rogue group of elite Staples CSRs have banded together in an effort to end the tyranny of internet bargain hunting. 🙂 )

Update: I got off the phone with Staples a short while ago. It seems that since the CSR initially told me that I was eligible, and since I was given the runaround trying to cancel it, I will be getting the TV free of charge after all. $62 and change (after rebate) for a 17" monitor and a portable television is a pretty hot deal in my book, even if I did have to put a little work into it. 😀

I got my pen also!! I have to wait until the 27th for the monitor supposedely. I'll believe it when I see it. I supposedly got in on the HP9110i deal a few weeks back and received 2 boxes of paper clips because they had to "re-process" my order. After numerous calls to CSR's assuring me the 9110i would be delivered they cancelled the order. I argued with a supervisor for 20 minutes to substitute the 9350i, but ended up with the 9150i instead for the same price, which is supposedly on back order. Dunno if I'll ever see it though..... Staples is suck!!

so, you got some static wipes instead of your monitor??? Did the ups guy see you open it in front of his eyes? Otherwise, didn't staples get suspicious that you got static wipes instead of a monitor?

What kind of tv is this?

and

How did ups deliver it, did it have a ups sign. paper attached to it? Did he wait for you to come out or anything like that? I need to know, now that it's the holidays and everything is all so busy and I don't want him to misplace or send back my monitor without my permission.... Then again, he could have left it, because it's so busy that they don't want to return again...

Here is the link for the tv. It comes in three colors, white/silver/purple, blue is sold out. But I think the coupon expired yesterday.

When my pen 🙂 came they just left it, my other orders show as shipped. If you want them to wait for a signature just call UPS and specify that.

Edit- Because soupon isn't a word.

It wasn't UPS that brought the static wipes, but a Staples employee. For some reason, they had dispatched the monitor (and, presumably, the TV) to UPS for delivery, and yet saw fit to send a courier to my house for a $4.00 item. Hell, Pizza Hut won't come to my house for a $4.00 order. 🙂

I'm not sure why they did it that way (and, for that matter, neither was the CSR I spoke to), but at least it was nothing more than a bizarre twist of corporate logic, rather than the monitor being "lost" as I had originally feared.
