Anyone have any experiences with their rounded-cables? Do they use flexible or stiff material, and is it fully rounded (as in each strand separated), or a half-way job?

Nice Find indeed, too bad already ordered elsewhere for 16.50 for the ata 100 silver cable 2 device :( i did a quick estimate on how much they charge me for shipping on 2xata 100 cables & came up at 7 bux when i only paid 4.35 on the other place i got my cables. Sidewindercomputers has scsi cables at a nice price aswell, i been having a hard time finding these cables elsewhere for price comparison.

i cut my own floppy cable to make it roundish, but the new ata 100 cables have 80 stripes as opposed to the old 40 which makes it a lot harder so i didnt try my other ide cables.

Anyone try the cutting of the ata100 cables? is it easy?

i cut my ata100 cables........just make a little slit with a knife and then tear the rest of the way. i use trips of 10 strands each. ends up being pretty good. i just put it into the plastic tubing (7 ft for $2.50 at frys)

Just as easy as regular IDE cable.

Just make a starter cut and gently pull apart. I went every 4 strands, them ran them through some flex tubing (the stuff automotive electric wires are in). Looks great and costs next to nothing.

Does anyone know where they are shipped from?

I find it somewhat fishy that the company doesnt give out there location or anything like that.

Good find - shipping seems te $7 regardless of quantity. I ordered 4 so it's acceptable.

Now I just gotta find a plexiglas case for my statement system

I've ordered from them a couple of times and they are a good company. The owner Bob Harvey is very helpful if you need to speak to him, as I did when I was having problems with my browser and couldn't place the order online. (I faxed my order).

Their cables are excellent and I would do business with So-Trick Ccomputers again and recommend them to others.

which one should one get? 18" or 24"? As far as i can remember, the lenght of the cable is a factor for data transfer reliability. Or i could be wrong too.
