A little OT but
does anyone know if the "small gap" in the cable is always between
the two drive plugs?
They usually say plug the blue connector into the MB.
I have my drive mounted low in the front of an Antec SX1040,
the IDE sockets are low on the ECS K7S5A,
and I want to plug the second plug into one of the upper 5.25 slots.
On normal cables, it seems like the cable just barely reaches between
the two drives.
Sometimes the cable is looped backwards after it comes out of the connector,
causing less length to be available.
I wish they'd hurry up and complete the "serial ATA" standard.
Then it'll be just 4 separate skinny cables.
I wonder if boards will still have 2 master & 2 slave drives on 2 IDE interfaces?
Just 4 separate sockets?
No more drive jumpers?
YAAAAAY
