<< I just saw this ad in the paper as well. I have been looking at getting this model or the 27" WEGA but for this price my decision has been made. I'll have to check this out on Monday after work (stores are closed on Sunday here in Bergen County). If they don't honor it I'll just try getting some store to PM it. >>

Is the one on 46 in bergen county?

Definitely a pricing error. I was going to get the 20" Toshiba Flat for the exact same price. At this price it's a steal!

$150 for shipping is hard to take when you live in Chicago.

I think that I dealt with this company once before back before I was on the internet. The salesman seem like typical east coast electronics salesman (con men). They are on par with Buydig, Smile Camera, etc..

If your tv set doesn't arrive on one piece, I'd be surprised if you worked out a resolution with a minimum of hassle. They'd probably want you to pay to ship it back.

:| damn 6th damn ave, I figured this was an amazing deal but was a afraid it was a price error, I called a local store in NJ (paramus) and confirmed the price was accurate and the sale was today! I drove there in record time, only to find out there was a posted note next to the TV I pictured to be in my living room in just a few minutes. Spoke to store manager and he would not budge, even though I had explained that one his staff memebers confirmed via phone. Damn Circuit Damn City. The 300 doller model is a non-flat screen.

I've been looking for a good deal on a large flat-screen TV (27" is the minimum for my criterion). I'd really prefer Sony Wega. But if the price of this Toshiba is legit, I will probably go for it.

In my experience, I shopped once at 6th Ave.com. Last time I bought an Aiwa 20" Flat-screen combo TV with a 3-dvd changer for $299. The price was amazing. At first I thought it was a price error, or the TV was refurb. I called to verify. I was told the price was legit and the TV was brand new, not refurb. The reason they sold it for such low price is because they ordered alot from the manufacturer with a special discount......blah blah blah. Anyway. the TVs were all sold within a day. I was expecting some kinda hassle since I never bought from them and the price was too good to be true. When I learned that I could return for refund if there was anything wrong, I decided to take a risk ( I am from NY and it will be one-hour driving to their NJ store if I need a return). The shipping was like $30 and it was shipped next day. There has been nothing wrong with the TV so far. I love it very much.

I went to the one on 46 and they also had a note posted on the TV and on the circulars on display that it was a pricing error.

So is anyone going to try and PM this? I could use a nice 27" TV in the bedroom. :)

Is AmEx Blue the best for this? I'm just wondering if it will matter that 6thave's name isn't on the ad.

sears is selling this baby for 529.
Question about blue PM this sweet deal:
Do we need a scan of ad with store name and date on it?
Will Amex call and verify the price with 6thave?
If it works, it will be my first big deal of 2002:)

alibaba: read This Thread.

most people understand this is a price mistake, and are hoping to be able to pricematch via amex blue, much like the Viewsonic 18inch LCD for $499 deal.

Sixth ave has numerous complaints against it. They actually paid a large fine some time back. They are your typical bait and switch store. I would suspect the pricing error was on purpose.
They were also fined by the state for selling refurb items as new...

This store aint your typical Best Buy, Circuit City or Staples. You can all but forget about price matching with them. These sales guys will just laugh in your face if you try to price match or hold them to the price on their printed ad.

I remember dealing with these guys now back in the days when I used to mail order by phone. I called someone up and told them that another local store had an item for $20 cheaper. The guy called me a liar and then slammed the phone in my ear.
