Hot Deal? Antec SX830 w/PS for $50 after MIR?

I also got the email message from outpost. The CSR I spoke to gave me this line, "call the rebate line". I assured the CSR that I done it twice and both times got busy signal. The only thing I got working for me is that I ordered on Nov 30th.

Again, the rebate number is 1-800-390-2344 Three calls just now and each time it sounds like they took the phone off the hook.

EDIT: THE F'in rebate center says they can't do anything about it and to contact Antec directly, anyonek have a number for Antec??? Something wierd is happening with Antec's website, it looks like it's not their's anymore.

Well spoke to csr yesterday and he said that I should be pleasantly surprised on the case. They have enought of them. IF anyone ordered the ECS mobo and athlon xp 1700 they are just waiting on the mobo. The csr made it sound like, I should get everything by this fridak. (y2k)

I must have read it three times and still couldn't believe it. And this is for a heavy case too!

just talked to any outpost csr who actually seemed to have a clue

-they are getting 800 antec cases in the next 2-3 days...all should be shipped out by friday
-rebate has been extended 1 week (so you now have 22 days from the order to date to get it in the mail)
-if you ordered the athlon/ecs mobo the mobo's should be arriving dec. 12th...i did some more reading & decided to go with a soyo dragon+ and an athlon 1800+...hopefully with amex blue those prices will drop nicely over the next 59 days

rebate problem being fixed??? the rebate still shows must be mailed in the 12-6-01 for me... could someone fill me in on what i am missing.... i would love to pick 1 of these up......

So did they change it to must be mailed by 15 days after recieving the case... or 15 days after ordering......

when i called, the csr didn't give an exact date, she just said to send it in as soon as you could and it would be honored. i wouldn't worry much, if the rebate doesn't go through give'em hell and dispute the charge with your cc.

Tipnmo101, here's the deal: the rebate request must be postmarked within 15 days of purchase. However the purchase doesn't occur until your credit card is charged. And Outpost.com ain't going to charge us until they've got product to ship.

So, assuming that Outpost.com does in fact receive its shipment by Dec 6th and they bill us by that date and ship shortly thereafter, our purchase will satisfy the rebate requirements.

hehe, even if you did get stiffed for a $20 rebate, $70 is still the lowest price you're gonna find on this case without getting ripped for shipping. but like vitop said, it should work out just dandy.

All right, what gives with this f#cking deal?!?! I placed an order last Friday and got the "back ordered" note. So I cancelled the order yesterday. Now I read that there were units in stock, even though my order still came up as "back ordered". F#ck it! It's not worth $20 to get yanked around by a piss-ant company which can't keep track of it's stock.

Did I miss something? How was is some people managed to get 2nd day air free? They want almost $20 from me. On the other hand, ground is only $8, which is pretty good for a heavy case.

I ordered it, did next next next and didn't change the default shipping option. The last confirmation page was like:
sub-total: $70.00
shipping: $0.00 2nd day airborne express
total: $70.00

It selected this by itself. Strange.
