the rebate form says you need to send in the "original" rebate form...they won't accept one printed out from acrobat?

I saw that blurb on the rebate also about the original form. I didn't worry about it since we have no way of getting a preprinted rebate form and outpost.com provided the PDF form online. I think they mean we can't make up our own form (e.g. on a 3x5 card) and send it in.

That sucks they really screwed up my order for some reason after waiting for a couple of weeks on backorder for the case it got bumped off my order so I had to re-order the case and now they don`t have the rebate form on there web page. Outpost sucks !!!.I guess it had something to do with the Anand effect :frown:

My 3 1/2 floppy and mobo that I ordered with the sx830 arrived. When I went to track my order to see the status of the SX830, it showed up empty with a zero balance with the following statement:

At this time, your order is still being processed. Please check back in a few hours to review your completed order. If you have any immediate questions, please call Customer Service at the number listed below.

Unfortunately my order status stayed in that condition for a much more than a few hours (try a day or two). I talked to a CSR that told me that SOME people had their order messed up. She said that she would place an order for me for the same price ($70) and free shipping. That was few hours ago and I haven't seen any change.

Damn, I may have to aplologize to Kevman about whining.

mine finally arrived today

i ordered within an hour of this deal being posted...ordered this & the ecs mobo/athlon 1700 combo...after reading more about the ecs called & cancelled that part of the order...morons at outpost cancelled the entire order...told me there was nothing they could do once an order was cancelled...so i had to re-order...called & bitched becuase this moved me way down the list...outpost upgraded me to next day airborne express at no cost

I ended up ordering the soyo combo and keeping the ECS combo aswell to build a system for my parents after a lot of research the ECS mb dosn`t look too bad apart from a lot of doa and bios screw ups it still is a hot deal for 200 bucks. My case should come tomorrow got everything else already I guess if you want quick service order from newegg but price was more important to me .

Thanks for the recognition, I'm not one to say "I told you so" but, I told you so!

Anyways don't you hate the bs that this order is causing? I'll tell you that once you get the case, it will be worth the hell, it is an excellent case in every aspect. I'm running ~5 degrees cooler with this case then I was with my old generic one. I hope you all get your order through for $70. Even without the rebate for $70 I still think it's a great deal. Now that I think about it, I paid more for my generic one. Good luck to all, if anyoen needs the rebate for feel free to PM me I have it somewhere.

I've also been researching the ECS K7S5A. Some folks are running into problems beyond DOAs and BIOS problems. There is a data corruption problem that some boards/setups are producing. Have you seen the following thread?

When working, the K7S5A is an incredible deal but just be aware that there may be issues with it.

I had a copy of the old rebate form which expired on the 8th I believe I don`t think you wanted that one
I don`t think my rebate will go through as its so late but its worth a try .
