Dropping it to 2T did allow for a slight overclock, but still no sign of CAS2 at 166MHzOriginally posted by: MarkB

Uhh.. any suggestions for my situation? I can't even get it to do cas2.5 at 166mhz
i'm running 133mhz cas 2 now because everytime i try to put it up to 166 (even when i do By SPD in the bios) windows is extremely unstable, and crashes everytime i load a game.

Well, guess I was right. They sold us customer return crap, that's why nobody can get those sticks running at decent speeds. Does anybody want to get in touch with Crucial and see if we can RMA those? I called the CnetMonkeys and they told me they'll charge a 20% restocking fee if I send those back to them.

And exactly what facts do you base your comment on? My two sticks run perfect at stock speeds, and can run at cas 2 on my Intel MB though they dont do well at much other than that. This has usually been the case with larger sticks of memory, smaller sticks usually clock higher. The sticks I recived had never been touched, no marks whatsoever and had the rough edges on the PCB to prove it. Anyhow all crucial chips have lifetime warranty, dont like them rma themOriginally posted by: dp004i Well, guess I was right. Lifetime warranty only if bought directly from Crucial (at least least that's what their website says; I haven't tried calling them, but I wouldn't be surprised if they don't honor that warranty once they find out where those sticks came from).Originally posted by: m1ke101

Thats actually what I was thinking, my roommates stick looked new, and since it is crucial, you can rma it whenever
