I just ordered this and wanted to confirm with people who have received theirs that this is a retail box (heatsink,fan,full warranty). (I recently bought a quantum drive from buy.com and was surprised when it arrived as just a bare drive in a static bag. Not that I needed the accessories but it could have been made clearer on the site.)

Also this probably doesnt need to be said but when someone gets locked chip please post it here. I like my hopes to be dashed as early as possible.

I'm finaly "upgrading" my p200. Now all I need is a Socket A MB, ATX case + 300W Power supply, DIMM memory, and AGP video card. Reminds me of the old man who said "I've had this axe 20 years. I've replaced the head three times and the handle twice."

Since these have the heatsinks glued on them,what is the best way to remove them so as to not damage the core(I heard the Durons and Thunderbirds were very,very fragile).Anybody done this already? Please share your experience.Thanks in advance.I can't wait for this hot deal to arrive on my doorstep.Just worried about getting the heatsink off to get to those lovely Golden Bridges.

Busta: buy.com has a 10% off through pointclick? is that only true around 11:00am? because I have never seen 10% there, only 0% :-(

Hi, Godsgift: thanks for the answer. but pointclick offers UP TO 10% off for some sites, and buy.com has a 0% not 10% listed there. that means I can only get a reimbursement but no % off. am I wrong?

Another way to unlock these Durons is to use a rear window defogger repair kit from your local auto parts store to connect the bridges. Costs about $4 for a fix that wont rub off.

Just ordered 2 last night for my friend and me. Praying they are still unlockable. Anyone know where I can get a conductive pen? Im thinking radioshack sells them but I dont wanna have to leave teh house for nothing so just in case =)).

Wow! u just made my day lol dont even gotta leave the house now. But seriously, will the pencil marks erase over time or any way to ruin it with ising a pencil?
