I don't think so. road to rome is only 20 normally, so 20 + 20 is less than the deluxe version anyway. i bought road to rome, and it was 2 weeks before i even was in a game that used one of the maps from it. i think i have played on the rtr maps less than 10 times total.

I'm sure in a few months, like always, there'll be a Super Deluxe Kick Azz Gold GoTY edition with 1942, RtR, and SW for $30. Plus some mods, maybe a strategy guide, and a preview of the sequel. :)

Does Compusa pricematch. If they do Wal-Mart has battlefield for $39 so you could get Battlefield for $10!!

It didnt need the copy protection anyway you need a real CD key to play online

Yeah, it's absurd I have to resort to something like Alcohol 120% to use a game we BOUGHT!! Gunbuster what are your system specs? I want to know if they mirror mine and that's why we have the same problem.

It asks for a CD that is should see but doesn't. It appears to be a problem with XP, Nforce2 boards and the patches 1.4 and 1.5. It's great having spent so much money for a game that right now I can't even play.

I used a CD crack to get it going for version 1.4 but unless there are now some floating around out there for 1.5 also (last time I checked there weren't) I'm stuck playing the SW demo to get my BF fix in.

Don't get me wrong I think this is the most fun computer game ever made and is truly digital crack. I've wasted many hours and sleepless nights playing. Rather frustrating to shell out my money for a game that the maker won't fix all of the problems with. I've seen others with the same issue on other forums so I know I am not an isolated case.

Unless I can get my issues worked it it certainly makes little sense to go pick up the SW expansion when I can't play it! Too bad because it's great fun in the demo.

Yeah copy protections are a whore like that. Download alcohol 120% and then image the game to ur hard drive. Then u can use alcohol's image mounting tool, or get daemon tools (which is now defunkt, but can still be found at fileforum.betanews.com ) and mount the image. done and done. Thats how I play, never have to deal with no-cd patches / cracks /whatever you want to call them. Only problem is you lose some space...

I got a pricematch at CC because COMPUSA was out. So did a friend of mine and my brother-in-law. And I already own it!

I picked up a copy...never played this game, but heard a lot about it and figured for $20 it was worth trying.

Doubt it. There's a Deluxe coming out soon that has RTR and original. For more than you would pay if you bought them separatly right now. I haven't heard of any bonus material. Its going to be at least a year until a super deluxe comes out.

Look at The Sims, the deluxe packages that keep coming out are like 2 or 3 expansions behind.

w00t! I just jumped in and got it for $16.99 at CC after PM. I would much rather patronize them over CompUSSR any day, even if it were the same price. I'm a few years late to join the game but I gotta see what the hype is aboot. The mods look sweet!

You can count me into this SAME camp. I'm so angry losing the 2nd CD. Warezing CD # 2 off of Kazaa is almost mind-numbingly impossible. :(

Since Wolfenstein has been mentioned in this thread, can you play Wolfy FREE online?

About a year ago I bought Wolfy off of a kid on Ebay. The bastard took the official key. I COULD NOT PLAY ONLINE!

..........SInce it has been a year since I last played Wolfenstein, should I:

a.) Buy the $8 Wolfy game at CompUSA or,
b.) Download somewhere the ABILITY to play Wolfy online (if this option exists at all)?

Thanks!.........

I believe most people are talking about [correct me if I'm wrong] the Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory FREE game. It is playable online only (no single player, non-internet play), and can be downloaded from FilePlanet for free. Download from HERE.

P.S.: You don't even need to own RTCW to play this.

If I want to try a pricematch can I just print out the website price, or do I need to get the paper ad? Does anyone know if there are scans of this ad online? I don't want to drive all the way out to Compusa, and I have CC close to home.
