they give you a 30 day cancelation policy, so you can try it out and if it doesn't work for you, just walk away.. i think it's worth the time invested.

i'm in the detroit burbs too and my coverage is silightly worse than my previous tdma coverage. (it seems to fade in and out, i don't know if it's my phone or coverage.. i get 4 bars, then 2, then 1, back up etc..)

t-mobile coverage sucks where i am.. there was actually a t-mobile store in the strip mall that i work at, and they get no coverage, needless to say, they went out of business real quick 😀 so it really depends on where you are and where the pockets are. i'd spring for verizon but it costs too much, both phone and their plans.. 🙁

This is a good deal, but I need 2 and new Local Family service. I tried to find any family plans on Amazon without any luck. I can get 2 of these phones for free on att.com but cash rebates would be nicer...

Amazon doesn't do family plans, but they have a page about them (sorry, don't have the linky handy) that basically says if you want a family plan, order the phones from them with any old plan and then call ATT to change it.

Stay AWAY from ATT, their service both GSM and digital are absolutely horrid and as said above, their customer service has A LOT to be desired!
