<< Hi. I need some major advice here. This sounds like a great deal. I'm looking for a set for my 14 year olds son's room. Looking for something very modest(cheap) but with decent sound. He has a PS2 and we dont want to buy a stereo for him. So we are hoping he can use the PS2 as his CD player but do we still need a receiver? since i am so brain dead when it come to tech stuff I'm hoping you guys can recommend something here. Thanks! >>

This will do what you want. Probably a bit of an overkill for a 14 year old, but it will give some great sound.

Wow this thread is still here? haha I thought it got the boot.
Anyhow thanks to anyone who used me as a referral, like someone else pointed out they may consider MSN the referral but regardless its all good, the hot deal is what matters!

how long does it take for you guys to get a confirmation email about the order, and do they send it to your MSN .Net account? It's been 2 days i still haven't gotten any confirmation yet:( Also, how long does it take MSN to reply for the rebate, I know the homepage says a week but still.

Is the $100 max for the MSN Passport deal, total per person, or per order?

I already used up $100 on a Canon G2 (from Ritzcamera), now I want a couple more things from Crutchfield, including a Denon A/V Receiver.

I went with Sony C700 theater system ($699.95 + $13.95 shipping - $100 MS - $180 AMEX PM = $434)
Good deal!

Well I guess no more goodies for me. And none of my friends/relatives have AmEx Blue.

[thinking to self]
Hmmm. If enough people bought using my Crutchfield Cust ID, I could make up for the $100 passport. My ID is 13422928.

got my confirmation e-mail today, they did give me the $25 off for the referral

but i kind of screwed up...after they applied the coupon it dropped my total below $500, which would have cost me $20 from MSN...so I called and had them add some cables to bump it up over $500

<< Thanks for the great post! I used you as referral right now. And a heads up! The one with rebate ( JVC DSTP350) is currently instock!
399.95- 80MSN - 110 Blue PM(Etronics.com) - 50 rebate -5% ebates -25 off 250 (referral credit back)= 105+9.xx shipping!!!!! Flaming!
>>

Thanks for the post on the terms of the referral program...btw, is it just me or is the link for the rebate not located in an obvious place?
>>

Has anyone used the JVC system? How is the sound?

I'm thinking about this one but I need to connect a DVD, VCR and Satellite/ReplayTV and I don't think this has enough inputs.

Any thoughts?

you've only got 25 minutes...this expires at 3am est...go here, follow link to crutchfield & place order using the passport express checkout, you get a $20 rebate for every $100 you spend, up to $100 for spending $500
