Crutchfield is part of MSN Promo.. so you can go there and

Pioneer system:
Dolby Digital, DTS, and Dolby Pro Logic decoding ? 6 audio DSP modes ? 4 video modes ? 100 watts x 5 ? 100-watt powered subwoofer ? 3 video-shielded two-way front speakers ? 2 two-way surround speakers ? 2 audio/3 A/V inputs ? subwoofer preamp output ? midnight listening mode ? multibrand remote

1) Buy the Pioneer HTP-210 Home Theater System for $399.95 plus tax+shipping
2) Coupon for $25 off for first time customers that are referred
(You can use my customer ID, or anyone below.. mine is 22231362 ) .. you end up just over $400 after tax & shipping
If you are ordering it online type that into the 'Additional Comments' on the checkout pages.
3) Pricematch using the lowest price on pricescan.com ($299 here) to get $100 back using Amex Blue
4) Then get $80 back from MSN
So you get a DD5.1/DTS Receiver & 5.1 speakers for $220!!!

Also, when checking out put 'Brandon' as your product advisor (extension 3218).. I talked to him and he was unbelievably helpful.
He's one of those rare CSRs thats worth giving the commission to.

This works on basically any home theater system from Crutchfield... unfortunately the one with the rebate the JVC DSTP350 is out of stock.

$299 here

Its the only way to get the $25 off in this case
Better fellow AT members than adding to techbargains $2600 pot at Crutchfield

I agree, this is a good way to get started in the dark path of home theater...hopefully the upgrade bug doesn't bite any of you all, or you'll soon be spending thousands of dollars buying new speakers, new receivers, etc (basically replacing everything you get here). But I think you can get the essence of what HT is about if you have a surround sound setup, and this lets you do it for a cheap price.

these damn hot deals are making me broke :D

just ordered the onkyo tx-ds595 receiver, i have some nice speakers & a sub but my receiver is 6 or 7 years old

$513 delivered ($499 + standard shipping)
-$100 passport rebate
-$140 amex blue (crazyeddie.com)
-$25 referral rebate

=$248...smoking hot for a nice home theater receiver

flight23 i put you as my referral person, you should be getting $25 from me...but according to the terms of the rebate this may not be valid since they may already consider the msn eshop to be a referral

also, i don't think you can use ebates with this deal...last year some people who used ebates lost their msn passport rebate...according to crutchfield it will be delivered by dec. 24th

Tigerbait:
I think you can take the $25 off your first order but you can't do it all online. I had my wife order the denon 3802 and she called up to ask a CSR for the $25 off and as far as she said, it would be taken off this order:)

If you have a discover card you can go thru their shopping sight and get free shipping on any Cruchfield purchase. linky link:Text. I must add, however, that the surround system in question is rather wimpy. The Kenwood HBT-504 rocks for the money, albeit $100 more.

THIS IS NOT COMPLICATED

you cannot go in through discover, you cannot go in through ebates, you MUST go in through the eshop at MSN or you will NOT get your money

also, if you want to get free shipping you would have to pay with your discover card, which comes out to much less than the Amex Blue best value guarantee

Thanks for post! I am just now shopping for complete HT equipment. Whats the best AV Receiver under $400? I am looking at the Sony STRDE875 $299, Onkyo TXDS494 $299, Kenwood VR-507 $299...I dont really want the package deals cause I have several nice Bose speakers, and I am picking up the Sony 12in Woofer WM40 today for $149 at the Military base thanks to my Dad ;)
Anyways, I want a good receiver, but I am not a real Audiofile, I just hate hissin sounds like my old JVC does at half volume. I just got my Blue card in mail yesterday, cant wait to try it out :)

Oh man! I just can't help myself. That SAW-M40 sub is DA BOMB! (Literally!) Pump it up even halfway and you'll have neighbors complaining! I never heard such good home theater subs in my life!

Nice choice! :D

Hi. I need some major advice here. This sounds like a great deal. I'm looking for a set for my 14 year olds son's room. Looking for something very modest(cheap) but with decent sound. He has a PS2 and we dont want to buy a stereo for him. So we are hoping he can use the PS2 as his CD player but do we still need a receiver? since i am so brain dead when it come to tech stuff I'm hoping you guys can recommend something here. Thanks!
