It's like the Gateway 6400 deal, only they're not going to make more for us :(

Whatever, the way I look at it, it's only things like this that will make them realize the shortcomings of thier system. Perhaps they'll revise it to show real time stock.... nah that makes to much sense....

All those who ordered more than one should go to hell. "I ordered 4, 5, 6, no actually 100, so tee hee!"
OMFG, these are the retards that are going to cause us to lose in on this deal.

For those who ordered for themselves (not selling but is going to use the speakers for themselves)

cool

I just bought 4 sets for Xmas presents 10 mins ago ("studying" for finals all day so I was a little late). Luckily, got all the discounts though. Any bets as to whether they'll send, and if so, will I get them before Xmas?

Yeah, they're called lurkers. Actually just the people who buy them in bulk in order to resell them on egay should go to hell.

Sorry but truth is that all the people who complain about the people buying hordes are just mad because they didn't get one. they lack perspective. how do you know that the person buying 100 isn't going to sell them all for profit and donate the proceeds to charity? would that make it OK?.... who cares!!

In case you've forgotten we're deal seeking that means trying to buy something for under it's estimated worth, which is determined by what the vast majority pay for a specific item. If we don't get the deal we'll just have to settle for what everybody else is paying for it or NOT GET IT AT ALL. anyway, there were always be more and better deals down the road. Nothing to get your panties in a bunch over....

I don't know WHAT you guys are thinking. NOBODY is going to get these speakers at that price no matter WHAT happened.
This price error is posted at EVERY 'HOT DEAL' Board on the net....just look.
I haven't seen a pricing error deal go through yet.

Hi , Im a newbe so go easy,

I ordered 5 NIC cards then soon after a set of these speakers, I just checked my order status for the speakers and they are still processing, however the NIC cards are at the shipping stage cc card charged already and they are all listed as not available/delayed shipping.

They may be catching on :(

BTW - this forum is the best I have come across yet!

It doesn't hurt to try.

For you information buddy, dell still has them showing as "in stock" on their website, so anyone can still try to get on the deal.

HAHAHA...wouldn't it be funny if dell canceled their orders...and some ppl actually ordered...then, they'd have to fork out 100+ to fulfill their auction!

Let's all bid on that moron's auction and get him slapped with a $200 or so final values bill. Don't worry, there's no way in hell Dell is going to sell 100 speakers sets to him. I'm pretty sure they didn't even have 100 sets to begin with.

<< Welp, I got sick and tired of everyone trying to rip Dell off, so I called up one of their CSRs, and informed
them of the situation. They said that they were aware of the pricing error, and that they were fixing it. They told
me that they're also in the process of cancelling all orders that went through, and all future orders. I also
brought up the NICs for $.95, and the lady said they're handling that also. The CSR lady was so kind as to
thank me for informing them of their errors! I feel like a saint. Merry Christmas!
>>

Lol, that is one of the most obvious flamebait I've seen in a while. You'd think after a while trolls would learn subtlety, like the people who buy 1000 but keep quiet about it. Then again maybe some masochists enjoy destroying their reputation.

That would be an UNTRUTH

Angry at the auction, sure. Im seriously considering dp004i's idea of bidding as revenge..
If Dell is considering bringing the price up to $125 this guy's auction is cheaper by $50.
I hope it's true that Dell is going to charge him the "correct" price, doubt it though.

<< From the product page at Altec Lancing: Satellites can be placed near monitor without disturbing images. Disturbing images? Does this mean that I won't be able to go to Rotten.com when the satellites are separated from the front speakers? >>

it means that it wont DISTORT your monitor...they are magnetically shielded.
>>

dunno bout that...i have some acs33's and when i turn up the volume, it causes a "rippling" effect on the screen..just a warning

Volume should have no effect on the magnet. The magnet is part of the speaker and does not change strengths. The ripple your seeing is most likely some other form of interference, not sure what though... Possibly even just vibrations their creating...

At least im pretty sure thats the case...

While on the topic, would it be possible to permanently screw up your monitor from a day or two of having unsheilded speakers by them?

If you remember the Compaq Premier sound deal for $19.99 there were people buying lots of 50 on those too. I did manage to get one of those though. It's the one with the suitcase sized subwoofer.
