Crazy ADA880 prices are attracting customers to visit their web site.
They may lose certain amount of money to offer a deal but it can also save them time and money for inventory storage.

BTW, they just charged me $124.97 for 6 sets of speakers.
Hopefully I will be able to enjoy DD Surround EX and DTS ES.
 
at first i didn't think this would go through at all, and joined in to take my chance. but apparently they charged my CC (so they better deliver!) and now this post.... hmmm maybe it'll come after all...

Ok, got both confirmation emails now. Should be here on the 21st. I realized why the emails came at a different time. I order one from Small Business and one from regular. I got the confirmation much sooner with small business than regular dell site.
 
Man i missed out on both the NIC deal and this.....damn final exams week.....if anyone wants to sell me 1 set Pm me....cause well i dont know why i would need more than one!

I ordered a set this morning about nine a.m. I paid through my Paypal account an I just saw that they have withdrawn the funds. Maybe this is going to pan out???? I need to replace a old set of Labtecs on my backup rig. 😀

From the manual:

The ADA880 unit should be installed close to the AC power outlet so that the power plug can be readily removed from the outlet in the event of a hazardous problem.

What the hell does that mean are these things going to blow up, and their refurbs too I better start padding my monitor.
 
I ordered these as refurbs from overstock a couple years ago for around $120 and they sounded GREAT! ....for about a week. Then the sub went out completely. :disgust: At least i was in my 30 day window and returned them for a refund. Now I happily own the Klipsch... However, just a warning that it seems ALOT of people had sub problems with these when i did. Maybe they've fixed it by now though. Hell, I ordered a set from dell also! ETA 12/26/01...
 
these are refurbs, so they might be the ones that you guys found defective, and returned in the end. so they patch them up and sell'em for cheap on dell? hmmm maybe!!
 

Hey, I wonder... for those of you who got confirmation right away vs. those who got it delayed (or are still waiting), do you think it matters which division of Dell you ordered from? The reason I ask is because i originally ordered a set via Dell at Home, but got no confirmation, so I ordered a set via Dell Small Business, and got confirmation a few hours later. In my past experience, they do seem to treat your order/return differently depending on which division I had ordered the product from. Just curious...

 
Same here, ordered a set as home user and a set as a small biz. Small biz order acknowledged and confirmed within 12 hours. The order from the home division has yet to get any response after a day and a half.
 
Certainly an interesting hypothesis that's worthy of testing! It may be true that small business section has higher priority then the home section. Only way to find out is to order from the small bus section on the next hot deal 🙂
