4/20/02 - was there a couple of days ago and they are completely wiped out - not a single game left.

At the Palo Alto Fry's today, all Dreamcast games were $1.99! The sales guy said he thought this might go on until Tuesday, but he wasn't sure. This might only be at the Palo Alto Fry's - I don't know. Also, you might want to take the games to the games section person to make sure they have been marked down in the computer - they hadn't got to all of them yet, and he had to mark some of them down for me.

I picked up:

NFL 2k2
NHL 2k2
Tennis 2k2
Jeremy McGrath Supercross 2000
Seaman
Crazy Taxi
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater
Eighteen Wheeler
Sword of the Berserk

10 games for $19.90 - crazy. Some of these games are normally $39.95.

I'd just like to tell you that of the games you just got you need to fire up Seaman and Sword Of The Beserk. Seaman is very very cool. Sword of the Beserk is like watching a movie. Lots of very cool cinema cut scenes and the game itself looks just as good! Its a tough one though.

If someone could pick up a bunch of these games for me (like any of the aforementioned games) I would be willing to pay the cost + shipping plus a few extra bucks.
 
muhahah this is how you fight software piracy - make the games cheaper to buy than to download and burn 😀
 
I'm going to have to call Fry's before I head over there. I highly doubt it though.

Hey dude, dont rob the Bay Area AT of their goods, remember all this cry-babies who wish fry's were in their city can own a sizeable real estate for $100K, while you have to pay 5 times that. We, in Bay Area, while we cant afford to buy houses, can fill our miserable lives with $1.99 games
 
vladgur, that isn't the case with me. We don't have any fry's in the area AND a small house on a postage stamp piece of land costs 275K. Are a few cheap 2K2 sports games too much to ask? 🙂

But seriously, I hope fry's expands, but until then if someone can get some extra games, I would appreciate a PM.
 
Someone buy me a bunch of games too. Don't care what ( crazy taxi would be cool! ) and I will pay ya for 'em ppus what every you think is good for your wasted time. LMK.

Has anyone been able to confirm this at other stores? I might have to check out the SJC store 2morrow if this is true.

Damn - I hate Fry's. Why can't they be in FL?
