Lol couldnt help but list it all out And anandtech hot deals has helped me pick out everything ive ordered so far.

Be aware that while the Temjin TJ06 is a great case, you cant use the standard hard drive mounts with SATA drives since the cables are ridgid and protrude too far from the back of the drive for the way they mount in the case. Youll have to get a drive bay converter or find a cable with a 90 degree bend.

Has anyone who ordered this and received the AK2 contacted outpost and try to exchange it for the K2? I was hoping to get the K2 as its supposedly BH-5 and a little tighter timing... Anyone want to comment on the AK2 vs. the K2 differences? I see Outpost has the same link going to 3200K2 with the same item number, but now the price is up to $219.

bR you are wrong the KHX3200AK2/1GR I got from outpost are running 2-3-2-6 at 200mhz stable. They also have 2-3-2-6 printed on the box. Acording to kingston website there is no such thing as KHX3200K2/1GR so my guess is that outpost just messed up. BTW this was a great deal got it for 167 with shipping. Going for 215 now.

Ok Outpost still has yet to get back to me so im not sure if they exchange it or not. Im going give them a call again tommorow and check and see whats going on.

Oh and d3n thanks for that info that will be a big help. Have you tried installing the hdd backwards to that the cables come out the back or is that how you have it now.

Also i am now getting alot of wierd instability issues with this ram and that is running at 200 mhz 2326 so im still not sure if i want to rma or not. The outpost tech guys seems to be pretty helpful so hopefully if i do go for an rma everythign will work well.

I bought this at Fry's a week or so ago and had plenty of time to read up on it since then. Apparently many of the reviews note that the HyperX has trouble living up to the claimed speeds. (I can't say one way or the other as I'm waiting for that Neo4 board to arrive...)

There's also the risk that the packages contain "value" RAM, which is the newest marketing strategy (good or bad) from the manufacturers. I had some of this Corsair RAM that was "Value Select" labeled and, well, it was slow. I'm hoping for better things from the HyperX, but I'm also going to take the advice about bios updates and stick swapping from the writers above.

Hmm. So in other words, for lower cost RAM, maybe it's better to stick to Crucial?
You know, Kingston's Compactflash is usually one of the slowest too.

ohh man so there is KHX3200K2/1G. Should I call outpost and tell them to send me new 2-2-2 ram as it was advertised? I allready put it into my box and it runs 2-3-2. Will they exchange it if I allready opened the box?

I bought the UL low latency kit from newegg a few weeks ago for $250 + free HL2. I saw this and almost freaked out until I realized these are the normal latency versions. This looks like a good deal if I didnt already have matching 1gig UL I was adding to. Hyper X is fantastic RAM. I have 2 gigs in my gaming rig and never had a problem. I don't run it OC'd but just for fun I OC'd to 466mhz and CL 2-3-3 and it worked fine on a Sandra burn-in and memtest.

Is there really that much difference between 2-2-2 and 2-3-2 to really care about? I thought the cas2 was the most important number vs. cas2.5 or cas3?
