Hot: 1GB Kingston HyperX PC3200 159.99 NO MIR!

nice. thanks OP

im deciding whether to get this or not. i spent so much money lately, and just spent a ton to close on my co-op 🙁

is this 2x512 or one 1GB stick?
kingston site has no model by that name/#

EDIT: Its 2x512 just so everyone knows...found part # other placers 😀

ahhh dammit. i just bought a 512 stick yesterday. 🙁 :frown:

does anyone know if FRY's will pricematch outpost.com?

Hmm... this price looks real hot. I have a question though. I plan on overclocking my A64 3000+ in hopes of getting at least 2.5Ghz on air, will this RAM be able to get me there? Originally I was going for the OCZ 1GB Kit of PC3200 Platinum Rev2, but the price is about $270 @ Newegg, so this obviously looks much more attractive. If anyone can confirm this is a good overclocker, I might just go with this instead.

I got the corsair 3200 kit from Frys. Thinking about returnign that and getting this though... Damn, trying to decide if the lower timings are worth paying another 50 bucks.

I personally wouldn't. I missed out on those $99 Corsairs. 🙁

Good idea. Now I'm thinking about spending the 50 bucks and grabbing another 512 stick. 😀

Says they were able to get 216mhz out of it at cas 2. And 250mhz stable at cas 2.5.

I'm confused, your review is on the KHX3200ULK2/1G. The outpost site says KHX3200K2/1G and per kingston there is not such a thing. They have KHX3200AK2/1G which is 2-3-2-6-1, the KHX3200ULK2/1G is rated 2-2-2-5-1.

I think it's suppose to be AK2.

You guys think it's worth it for me? I could probably sell my Ram for at least $100 for both sticks. (Crucial PC2700)

How would this o/c with a 939 A64 3000?

I think so. I wanted to buy Crucial Ballistix but damn that stuff is expensive. I like the heat sinks on this Ram. My ram I have now doesn't have those. This Ram is also lower CAS and is faster.

Wow, nice price. I have the HyperX 2700 right now and they work great. I haven't tried to over clock them yet, but if I get these I will have to at least try 🙂. I was in the market to buy a new CPU (moving up from the XP 1800+), but if I buy these sticks I have to find a 400 FSB chip for my ABIT NF7-S. Anyone think I should stick with my MyperX PC2700 and buy a Barton 2500+, or buy these sticks and buy a 400 FSB CPU and sell my 1800+ and HyperX PC2700?

Ok went ahead and picked these up. Im going to be building a new system soon. 3000+ 939, gigabyte board, 6600gt, kingston hyperx pc3200, Temjin TJ06, Antec 430 watt psu, xp90 cooler, vantec fan controller, 2x 160gig sata drives, logitech z560s, still lookign for monitor, other junk not sure on yet. Lol couldnt help but list it all out And anandtech hot deals has helped me pick out everything ive ordered so far.

It is your ignorance 🙂 Nothing at all wrong with Patriot. I have their PC3200 LL memory and it wroks perfectly at PC3200 speeds with 2225 ram timings. They use the Winbond BH5 memory chips 🙂
