I ordered 2 sets a few hours ago when it was stil 'in stock'. How is Outpost's real time inventory? Are they pretty accurate? I'd be dissapointed if it was showing in stock and later find out that my order would be cancelled because they were backordered.

Got my Ram today. Just put it in. I sold my Crucial PC2700 today to pay for most of this.

333MHz (PC2700) 2-2-2-5-1 (CAS Latency 2)
370MHz (PC3000) 2-2-2-6-1 (CAS Latency 2)
400MHz (PC3200) 2-3-2-6-1 (CAS Latency 2)
434MHz (PC3500) 2-3-3-7-1 (CAS Latency 2)
466MHz (PC3700) 3-4-4-8-1 (CAS Latency 3)
500MHz (PC4000) 3-4-4-8-1 (CAS Latency 3)

Is this ram pretty much qauranteed to run at these speeds? most 3200 does 3200 and a little extra but these are pretty good numbers if there are realistic.(especially for the price)

In my opinion, $160 for 1GB of PC3200 is a good deal. 2326 timing is plenty tight plus these modules have some overclock room.

I was stupid and bought Crucial Ballistix for $130 per stick; nice memory but a poor value.

Well just got mine today. It is rated at 2326 cas. Ialso have nothing but good things to say about outpost i ordered it ground shipping and it arrived 2 days after order.

Problem is that the ram for me anyways has blown sofar. I put it in an 8rda+ system and this crap wont even rn cas2 at 190mhz muchless 200. Heck its not even stabel at cas 2.5 unless im running 2.9vdimm.

Ok Outpost was a heck of alot more helpful than kingston. They told me first that they had a few calls today saying they were gettings the the AK3200 by error and that there site listed just the K3200. He took me through alot of trouble shooting which was nice although didnt fix the problem. I also informed him i would be getting a new board soon and that i would like to try the memory in it before rmaing. He then gave me a 30day rma extension so that i would have time to get the new board. He also took my phone number and email and said that he would contact me about having the correct product shipped to me which would be the KHX3200K2/1GR rather than the stuff we are getting which is KHX3200AK2/1GR.

Finnally he recomended updating bios and im going to go ahead and do that now.

Before I order up a pair for Xmas, the site mentions may not work with all systems. My guess is it will work with mine but can someone here confirm? Thanks!

I got mine today too. Now I just need a system to use it with, lol. 1 component down, the rest of the PC to go.

I got the AK2/1GR too... it would do 2-3-3-7 but nothing else at any voltage. switched the order of the sticks and i can do 2-3-2-5 @ 2.7v i don't know how much overclocking headroom it has though.

Is there any reason these would not work in a dual 2.5 Power Mac G5?
According to Apple, the ram needs to be 2.5V, non-parity, unbuffered, non-ECC, and CAS Latency 2 is fine.
I don't have much experience with all of the technical details of ram, and I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything before I buy these.
Thanks a bunch.

I found the same to be true also. I couldn't get 2-3-2-6 to work. 2-3-3-7 does though. I will try switching the sticks around tonight. I couldn't get more than 10mhz over at 2-3-3-7 :( All that being said I'm happy with the memory because its still a great deal @ $149AR (What I paid for it).

Did you try switching to cas 2.5 to see if you could get any more than 10mhz out of it then?

I'm a little confused. So the memory they're sending sucks? Can we order the K2/1GR instead of the AK2/1GR?
Sounds like what you're getting isn't any better than regular Kingston VR, Corsair VS, or Crucial. Isn't the HyperX supposed to be high performance RAM?

Also, it's up to $175 now. :(

Had you asked me if this memory sucks yesterday after i got it i woudl have told you yes. But ask me again today after updating bios and switching the sticks around and i would say buy immediatly!

After upping the bios and so forth i was able to get 220 at 2326 and i think its my cpu or board holding from going any further. Im going to play with it again today and see if i cant get like 230 out of it.

So you can't get that high out of the 'regular' RAM I mentioned?

Can you explain the K2 and AK2 thing?

The SPD timings on the AK2 for 400MHz is 2.5-3-3-8 and the K2 is 2-3-2-6.

Since the site says you're buying a K2 I guess you can tell them you got the wrong one, but for the price it was selling for I don't think it's bad at all. :)
