Hot? 17" LCD 16ms responce

the $100 thing was obviously a joke guys lol

seems like an ok monitor but don't forget about newegg's dead pixel policy. No returns with less than 8 dead pixels.

This is a legitimate hot deal. The net price after rebate ($195) is excellent. The amount of money tied up in rebates is quite small (only $45). The vendor (NewEgg) has an excellent reputation. The shipping is free (and Newegg usually ships very quickly to boot). The response time (16 ms) is very good. It does not have DVI input, but I find that to be less important on 17 inch LCD monitors. On 19 inch LCD monitors, you do NOT want to buy one without DVI input.

If I was in the market for a 17 inch LCD, I would be all over this like white on rice. Too bad I'm looking for a 19 inch....

I agree, it's the hottest deal out there. I missed out on all the BF deals, but really there was only one hotter and that was the rebate filled CC $150 deal.

But aren't LCD's supposed to drop even more significantly in the next couple months? I wonder if I should hold off just a bit longer.

For anyone who is thinking about getting in on this, be careful. The small print at the bottom states, "Dead Pixels Policy: Replacement or Refund for 8 or more DEAD PIXELS ONLY!"

I want to know who killed the PIXELS. Even one dead PIXEL is one too many! We should start a "Save the PIXEL" movement!

Umm...two reviews on newegg to average 3 stars, one 5 star and one - one star that wasn't posted. Scares me when someone posted something newegg didn't want you to see. Could be bad shipping or something simple or some inherent problem with the product. Don't get me wrong, this looks good and I'm in the market.
Does anyone know anything about it?
