No BJs in Atlanta GA - I also checked Costco online and it seems like no great deal on the batteries and the chargers only come in 3qty resale multipack.

I've gotten good service and reasonable prices from Thomas... I would buy from them again.

Edit: But then this isn't the buy from Thomas thread...

<< is it because people who work for them (RobsTV) keeps on bragging about their store! >>

Geez, some people are such idiots.
Yep, I cash my Thomas pay check at the same time I cash my paychecks from AMD, nVidia, Buycomp, Egghead, and Avermedia, etc.. What? You guys didn't know that these companies send out checks every time you mention their name in a good way? Some of you must be owed a lot by now! If I were you, I would take today off of work, and do so phone calling. Get the checks you have coming!!!

In short, my other post basically said:
If you are not knowledgeable, get some knowledge. (Thomas, not Thompson, and Energizer AccuRecharger crap). I am a long time digital camera owner, and have been through this stuff for years. No need to re-invent the wheel. Just go and find out what others already know (I mean batteries, not stores)!

If you want a good "source for battery knowledge", check out Thomas (cha-ching $$)

It's not worth saving a little cash for low power, poor fitting batteries, in an expensive camera.

You are better off with more batteries and a slow charger.

Many stores sell powerful, quality batteries now. Go there and get some.

Read my sig. (cha-ching, cha-ching, cha-ching)

Or, if you are someone who wants the very best, try the Kodak 1600 mAH ones. In my tests they have outperformed (lasted longest) than anything else. Add them to your basket at Onvia or Buy.com to name a few when a few more items in the basket are needed for that coupon.

I did buy 4 4 packs of batteries from CompUSA on 12-31, but they had none of the rebate certificates (for batteries or charger). If someone could hook me up, I'd sure appreciate it. With the rebates, this becomes a very hot deal.

FYI I just bought a Emerson recharger at Scotties for about 30dollars.The neat thing is it recharges Alkiline batteries that are just regular batteries and Nhd and Ncad. After doing a search around the house I have about 15 recharged Durcel's and other types that would have been in the trash and they work great. It charges D'S TO Triple A's but no 9v.Cheers

Even now, the Disciples of St. ThomASS are amongst us, daggers in hand, searching for the non-conformists, seeking out the non-believers, boldy going ... (..oops)

Just got one at Walgreens. It's great. I had a kodak quick charger which does not DO
AAA, C, D size batteries. This deal is sweeter than the Sam's club deal 'cause I only need a charger does AAA size.
The best place to get Kodak 1650mHh is from staples.com.
