Fair enough...and while I think you can make a decent 2nd amendment argument about it, I'm kind of conflicted about the issue (which is why attack ads like this work, obviously). To non-gun enthusiast types, WANTING to walk around armed at all times is "odd", and that mistrust can be twisted by people wanting to score cheap political points. It doesn't help that pro-gun rights people do virtually nothing to reach out to folks who aren't already NRA types.

Anyone who looks into CCW will find that it lowers violent crime rates wherever its enacted. Florida is a prime example.

Chicago is a gang haven, with dozens of shootings every weekend. You would think that they would want CCW there, but the Boss Daley and the rest of his Democrat cohorts in the city has them hoodwinked into believing that CCW will bring about even more crime, despite what statistics say.

Too bad the repubs nominated Brady. He is far too right for this state, and will never win the election. I am a swing voting centrist in Chicagoland (Pro Gun BTW), and he is just too far right for me, and will probably be too far right for most moderates in the state - I won't be marking a vote for governor. I would have voted for Dillard (who might have been electable).

The republican party needs to get their shit together in Illinois and realize that although most the inhabitants south of I-80 are conservative, the bulk of the populace is not (Chicagoland) - nominate a fiscal conservative, social moderate and you might be able to get something done.

Quinn is a tool. Just needed to say it.

It's long past time that political ads should be run by something like factcheck before they are allowed to run. As dishonest as politicians are by nature, I don't see we should allow things to be even worse by allowing false advertising. If it can't be done with a car, it certainly shouldn't be permitted when pitching a candidate.

The sad part about it is that so many people are damn gullible to this shit. The governor's race in CA right now its just shit talking against each other with ads. I dont even know what the fuck they are standing by at all.
