Sorry, that's really weak man... Ok at least tell me why you aren't unhappy with ICBC.

Not weak at all, that's the way these things work. The original person to make the claim must provide backing first.

Never had an issue with ICBC. Their Rates are decent, they offer many Options, and hell if you want other Coverage beyond Basic you can get it from someone else no problem.

Your Beef here has nothing to do with ICBC, but with some schmuck in a Parking Lot.

I'd say you're lucky to be getting anything if you don't have collision or comprehensive. I don't have that coverage either and if my car was hit I'd have to pay 100% out of pocket to fix it. I'm willing to take that risk though because the car is 5+ years old, and I choose to save the money on insurance.

You must have very generous insurance policies there if you can refuse collision and comprehensive coverage and still get half the money to repair your car.

Alright well if you are happy with ICBC more power to you, less stress for you. My beef is definitely with the schmuck in the parking lot because if I knew who he was (and I might soon hopefully) then he is paying. I still maintain that I think ICBC is a shitty insurance company, but I'm glad that you are happy with them (even though I don't agree). I'm not blaming ICBC for the accident, I just really think its a terribly run company (although not financially), and I think it is terrible that the government tells us which business we have to use for our auto insurance and that they basically have a monopoly.

That's always the way it is with insurance companies.

I hate Geico. I think they're the worst insurance company out there.

It took them 2 years to pay back on a claim. My car was damaged by a business. The business acknowledged that the damage was their fault. I had signed paperwork, notarized, that stated that. Geico kept losing the paperwork, losing the police report, losing EVERYTHING associated with my claim. They finally paid because "it's been 2 years, and we cannot find the paperwork still" ... WORST insurance company ever.

DAMN THAT GECKO!!!!

Yeah I know everyone hates auto insurance, just one of those shitty things in life I spose.

Hahaha, that is a moist-maker sandwich I made the day after thanksgiving. The middle piece of bread is soaked in gravy and otherwise it is just turkey and cranberry sauce.

That failed to make me moist.

Man i should go to sleep, for some reason that pic had me ROFL.

wow. it does suck. i went to their website and found this:

my deductable for collision is $50.. gotta love progressive.

Mine are $0 through progressive. They also let me punch the people in their awful commercials in the face.

(but really, they do have $0 deductibles available)

This. I don't know crap about your IBC rootbeer insurance, but I'm pretty sure without comprehensive or collision you wouldn't have gotten a dime from an insurance company in the states.

Yep.. but with my $50 deductable, my monthly premium is $60 ... if i were to lower the deductable, my premium would go up.. and $60 is about where i'd like it 🙂

Have you thought about checking into what your rate would be if you raised your deductible to a few hundred dollars? You might save enough that in a couple years without a claim you would be ahead. And a low deductible can tempt people to file claims that can end up raising their rates when they would have come out ahead by paying out of pocket.

I'd like to take this opportunity to say that Boston Pizza is without a doubt the worst chain restaurant in Canada
