Less. I have days in the week when I don't need to say anything to anyone at all - except of course for all you fine people, all of whom I absolutely love and respect. :)

I would say the avg should be 8x a day if you count the little pesky things like "how are you, I'm fine..." etc.
Indeed. It's one reason I don't bother with the "How are you" after "Hello." Most of the time, when someone asks, "How are you?" they don't really want to hear, "Oh my wife just left me because I bludgeoned her goddamn poodle because it killed my adorable kitten, Admiral Fuzzypoofkins." They just want to hear, "Fine."
It seems pointless to pose a question when you don't really want an answer.

I don't speak enough in a day to average 4 lies. I follow the principal that it is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak up and remove all doubt.

Most definitely. "Sir, this is an excellent resume, and you possess a superior skillset compared to our other candidates. Honestly, I think you are a bit overqualified for this position." Say that four or more times a day, and I might be telling the truth once, if that.

Damn... you're one of those scumbags from HR, aren't you?

If you think that a candidate is a moron, why don't you just tell them that? Getting their hopes up that they stand a chance for the job just makes things worse :(

Well, if you were to work at Lockheed Martin hiring individuals, I would certainly hope that I would not be that person.

... because I need a job.

And I don't really think I lie. At least I can't remember telling any blatant lies throughout the day. To say I need a job is God's honest truth. Unfortunately:(

4 a day? I lie 4 times an hour. You ever hear someone on the phone with their girlfriend? That guy's lying 4 times a minute.
