Homosexuals can change

Hey, if conforming to societies norm is your thing, than go for it. If you are a homosexual and hate yourself that much, may'be you would happier telling people what they want to hear. But personally I'd really rather be true to myself, happy, and let society go fvck itself. These people who try to change try to change because of the way they are treated, not because they themselves wanted to.

Many former homosexuals have learned that change was not just desirable, but entirely possible. It wasn't easy, but it was possible. Read their stories, understand their reasons, and know that the propaganda against change is not completely honest

Men who have left homosexuality showing others the way out

it's more likely that they're in denial in order to fit their select social order.

Homosexuality spreads disease.

It is an abomination.

I have the right to have my beliefs.

For men you are correct, but not for women.

But those numbers are also flawed due to the fact that 6/10 hetero's have never been tested for HIV.
Alot of researchers expect the numbers due to heterosexual contact to rise to over 20 percent .

The ex-gay movement has created more than it's share of overnight self-help millionaires.

Most of them are now back with their boyfriends, as are their many 'recruits'.

I think this thread has had enough of the childish questionning of certain people's sexual orientation though - even if there were any legitimacy to the claims, they would have no bearing on the argument at hand.

One problem is that a 'gay' person can live a 'straight' lie pretty much indefinitely if they decide being gay is too hard. I've known a few people who managed to keep it up until 10 years of marriage and three kids. Without exception, their families have been torn to pieces by the father moving out and in with another man, due to feelings that he had all along, but tried to hide.

Imagine how much less pain and suffering would have been caused in their ex-spouse's and children's lives if they hadn't felt pressured to pretend they were something they are not. This isn't really about assigning blame - I can't decide whether it's societal pressure, or the selfishness of teh gay men in question that is the root cause of their decision to live a lie, but I do know it wasn't in the best interests of their spouse, themselves, or the children they now have.

And the right to keep your air tight integrity like we all do. But if you wish to give it up why should we be concerned?

1. All sex spreads disease.

2. the bible sort of says it's an abomination. See the 'new translation thread' for other possible interpretations.

3. Yes, you do.

THis is the stupidest post/subject I've seen in a long time. (to the originator) Are YOU open to a "change" or conversion? What if 90% were gay and felt YOU could be converted too? You can have hetro sex, doesn?t make you hetro. You can have gay sex, doesn?t make you gay. Picking out furniture, a desire to mix your laundry with one of the same sex, not THATs gay. And that cant be changed.

its sick how this is an acceptable post in P&N. another nonissue made political.

There you have it. You're trying to pass this along as fact when they say its not conclusive. Here's a :cookie: for your trolling.

How do you figure, all he quoted was the name of the article....

Yes you do. You do not, however, have any right to force other people to live by your beliefs.

Rip you are just too consumed by sex. All this explicit stuff suggests a repressed personality disorder or near terminal horniness. You need to take matters into your own hands 'cause those little puppies will just die if they aren't abused first.

Rip, your insistent bigotry saddens and disgusts me.

I've seen some of these "changed" homosexuals being interviewed on TV. To me, it's quite clear they still are homosexuals.

Also, think about this: If homosexuality has some genetic factor, forcing homosexuals to act straight, marry people of the opposite sex and have children means you are just helping the "homo" gene to spread.
