Its all for naught. Because in about 4 months or so a federal ban on same sex marriages will be passed. And it will survive a challenge and be enforced by the supreme court.

People are unwisely pushing their Christian beliefs on all laws in this country. Christianity is destroying this country.

Marriage does not have to be the way it's written in the Bible.

Do you always make broad statements or is this how you choose to act on the internet?

The only broad statement being made is that of Christians trying to legislate their religion.

Darn those Christians. They only founded America and wrote the Constitution

No, they did NOT. Very few of the Founding Fathers were Christian. Jefferson (who wrote the DoI), Madison (who wrote the Constitution), and Washington, in particular, were all deists.

It's not like the posters are needed anyway. Most people are already brainwashed enough to say, "not that there is anything wrong with that" as a disclaimer to anything they say about a person being gay.

I just searched through the entire Constitution and did a ctrl-f and searched for "separation" and "church" and could find neither.

To abhor homosexuality has nothing to do with being christian. I could care less about what a person believes religous wise. I find it rather stomach turning to be honest and I don't want my child going to school and some pervert teaching her that being with another woman is ok. Give me a break. You know people can whatever the f they want, but don't give me this bs that disliking homosexuality is some kind of indictment on a person.

That is not the point. Just saying that Christians should always think about what people have done in their name. Or still continute to do today. What the Christians did to the Native Americans, or supposedly did in the name of Christianity is one of the worst crimes in human history.

Amazing, eh? The real 'separation of church and state' is the provisions set in place to make it so that a gov't cannot run a church organization (such as the Catholic church) and vice versa. There is nothing in there about 'religious values' being excluded from gov't.

I did. My point was "separation of church and state" is a made up liberal term.

Terrible. Utterly unacceptable. Homophobia is fine. Some people are scared of spiders (aka arachnaphobia), but you don't see posters of that around do you?

so the obvious answer to that would be to have posters of to men kissing on every wall in every high school, middle school, and elementary school in america...

Try telling that to the Constitutional scholars of ATOT.

Naw awwww. Pat Roberson, through the power of GAWD our LORD and SAVIOR, told me that GAWD our LORD and SAVIOR told him that the founders were homos. Damn their agenda!

I'm a registered Republican. And even I'm turned off by the idiotic Christians. It's a shame when the party you're registered with goes down the drain so much that you have to vote for the other side in order to get someone that's qualified.

I'm a McCain republican, not a bible-thumping looney-toon "curious" george bush or pat robertson republican. They aren't republicans, they're morons.

Damn those homos! Their agenda has reached back (lawl) to even rewritten Ben Franklin's autobiography to say that "I became a thorough Deist."

Maybe my reading comprehension is fail but that statement to me means the government can't make a law saying X religion is the official religion and all other religions are illegal. I still don't see this separation of church thing.

"People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw rocks."

There is something you do, classy... SOMETHING... that some other moralist busybody (much like yourself) can find offensive, make illegal, and punish you for it.

Laws punishing homosexuality having nothing to do with Christianity. They have everything to do with hating your neighbor and refusing to turn the other cheek to his sins.
