It's not about being afraid of anything. It's about the implications the poster makes... that if you think homosexuality is wrong you are a bad person. "You're only permitted to have an opinion if it agrees with our opinion"

That kind of crap should be kept out of schools.
Exactly. The fact of the matter is that homosexuality actually has nothing to do with this subject. The government is essentially pushing the concept of thoughtcrime on children. That so much as having certain beliefs should be illegal. In Canada, that is a direct violation of the freedom of expression clause in their constitution.

That's what I was thinking.

And this poster would be *SO* much better with too girls making out.

for truth... lesbians ftw

Trust me, you would not enjoy looking at the vast majority of lesbians making out.

I think gays have presented their cause perfectly. It's just that most people simply do not like their cause.

I can market edible dog crap perfectly, it doesn't mean that people are going to want it.

First of all, STFU stop assuming. It makes you look bad.

No, gays have made huge mistakes and those mistakes are contributing to their current sate.

Being gay is perfectly fine and you comparing it to that is pathetic. It is not a matter of people accepting it or not, the fact is that there are lots of gays out there. A vast majority of them are gay not by choice.

I don't believe that it's a choice. I don't think they chose to be gay any more than I chose to be straight. It just happens.

I don?t feel that I am a homophobe but seeing 2 men kiss still make me cringe. Maybe this is what we need. More exposure to this new reality.

Its all for naught. Because in about 4 months or so a federal ban on same sex marriages will be passed. And it will survive a challenge and be enforced by the supreme court.

true, but given that every other word uttered in highschool is 'gay' in a contexty completly unrelated to homosexuality, I can see why they shoot over the top.

Wow, maybe gays should hire you to lead their PR campaign. I bet that'll be really effective.

Instead of attempting to push openness, they can follow your lead and push immature teen angst.

People are unwisely pushing their Christian beliefs on all laws in this country. Christianity is destroying this country.

Marriage does not have to be the way it's written in the Bible.

Do you always make broad statements or is this how you choose to act on the internet?

The only broad statement being made is that of Christians trying to legislate their religion.

That's a shame. But the movement for same-sex marriages was one of the most blundering, poorly executed political agendas in US history. They seriously fscked up by trying to go ram a controversial agenda down everyone's throats. They took something that could have been accepted (what right does the federal government have to dictate marriage anyway?) if introduced slowly and properly and instead tried to force the issue and made it very very unpopular.
I blame them for GW's re-election.
Case in point: Multnomah county, Oregon commission chair Diane Linn, who won her last re-election 4 years ago in a landslide, and who passed -- behind closed doors no less -- an edict forcing gay marriage (briefly) here in Oregon, was just voted out of office this Tuesday by a huge landslide margin (she got only 22% of the votes in a 2-way race). Exit polls claimed that the gay marriage issue was the primary reason she got voted out.
And this is Multnomah county, Oregon (Portland). It's massively liberal Democratic party stronghold. We voted like 75% for Kerry in 2004.

It would be fine if they allowed posters of the exact opposite, but they don't, which I consider hypocricy at its finest.
Of course if they did, things would be rather chaotic, therefore no posters at all would be the best option. Ah but then we start banning everything...all in the name of political correctness.
