1st at 27 (cookie cutter subdivision)
2nd at 31 (custom built to my design and specs on property I'd owned in the country for 5 years)
3rd at 34 (job transfer, bought 80 year old house on a nice lake)
4th and 5th (4th is a 6000 sf 100 year old mission style house)(5th was a rental) at 37
I'm now 41. Currently live in 4th and 5th sold for a profit after a year's lease to a tenant.

blah .. been looking for over 6months now in the bayarea, it's been crazy. We've been putting offers every weekend for the last 5 weeks 🙁 We're usually fighting with 10-15 other bidders for the same house, eventually we get out bid. Got countered a few times but never scored. 🙁
