Poor Dave...
On a happier note, I was in HD this week and found a couple of already-clearanced items. All of the brown gutter systems (plastic and aluminum) had been marked down. The plastics only had the joints, no gutters or downspouts, but all varieties were $.01 each. The aluminum stuff wasn't as good of a deal, but I picked up some gutters for $2 each, downspouts for $1 each, and the misc joints were $.50 & $1. Also happened down an aisle that had the round roof vents (forget what they're called, they look like basketballs spinning on an axis) and there was a model marked down to $.01 as well. I don't have a use for it yet but you can't argue with anything you can buy for a Lincoln. 😀

Unfortunately he was kinda asking for it, read his post here.
He's really a great guy and has contributed a lot to this forum and I don't recall him being a troublemaker before. Hopefully he'll contact the mods and ask for a lesser punishment like a vacation as opposed to being exiled to the goulag (sp).

He should have had the forsight to understand his fate when posting that. We've all seen it happen with members we've liked and disliked, but if you bad mouth the mods in that fashion (especially in the forum full of posters/elites that are likely to have alternate personas *wink wink nudge nudge*) then you should realize what's coming. They're under no obligation to provide you with any sort of fair treatment, it is their forum after all. Slow to speak, quick to listen, right guys?

We had been looking for Dave (Evadman) in the Distributed Computing Forum since December 17th. Would it be too much of a courtesy of any Mods to let us know when a family member has been banned? and what maybe happened to cause it?

I have been trying to contact him about the LAN party that amdskip and I are trying to set up in Illinois, but I haven't heard from him at all. Hope he's alright, hopefully he's just away for the holidays!

Just saw a post in Off Topic that he was banned for criticizing the Moderators. I don't know if it was a permanent banning or time off to cool down. Apparently Dave (Evadman) was hot about locking or something and he used some pretty strong words to describe the actions of the Mods.

My 2 cents, if worth 2 cents: I hope that it is not a permanent banning. Infraction did not seem harsh enough of a faux pas to be worth that, just words, a stick and stones kind of thing.
