Just make sure to take every precaution you can with regard to ensuring the finished quality of the end result. Home Depot is getting a pretty bad rep. for sub-contracting work out (no actual Home Depot employees do in-home installation work) to shoddy contractors.

But Home Depot is responsible for the end result, if it's bad make them do it again. As long as the contractor is payed by HD, they have to stand behind it.
Hot deal. My mom is going to carpet her place soon, I'll check to see if that deal is available in her area.
You did not read the story in his link did you? HD did everything to NOT fix the problem and even said...
"Boothe says in January she reached an impasse with Home Depot. A district manager told her it wouldn't be cost effective to fix the problems. Atlanta headquarters told her they would finish installing the granite and that's it."
Theer are a lot more stories like that. Until the media got involved HD kinda told her to pound sand. NOW they will fix it after it has gotten into the publics eye.
