What test site do you recommend?Originally posted by: techs

Not necessarily. You should try either very short download tests which will work before the speedboost kicks in, or very large speed tests where the first 20 megs or so will be at the speedboost rate and the rest at your regular max speed (if the test is large enough the first 20 megs will have a smaller impact on the speed number, of course)

It's called PowerBoost. It only applies to smaller amounts of data.

It was consistently over 20Mb. I would love to download a torrent and see if it sustained that kind of speed.
Never. Torrent are not designed for fast speed.

Not QFT.
Powerboost is up to 12 Mbps.
"Blast" is up to 16 Mbps.
Comcast doesn't have any services that offer 25 Mbps at this time.
Either OP is on crack or Comcast has made a temporary error in bandwidth throttling.

Hmmm, maybe I'm on crack, but I get 18-24Mbps on normal comcast on a speed test. It only applies to the first 5 MB or something like that though, then it settles to the 8-10 range.

At school on good torrents I can consistently pull ~4-5 mb/sec

I miss my college network. I occasionally saw download speeds of 7MB/sec, no exaggeration.
