I guess I was wrong sort of. The courts acted quickly. The judge made a ruling during today's hearing because both sides agree the fetus was not viable. They just released an order to take her off life support.

Hopefully Tarrant can issue a quick response today so she can be removed prior to the response dead line on Monday.

Using the democrat and liberal logic regarding gun control...

"If it can save just one child then the law is good"

logically, it's sound, Spidey, and I give you that.

But consider an 8 year-old being murdered in a classroom, and all the concepts of "life" that is evoked when you talk about an 8 year-old human, and compare that to the forced birthing of a hydrocephalic fetus that is not going to survive more than 2 or 4 months after gestation.

...kinda, puts it in a more relevant perspective, no?

sorry i don't speak in tongues or gay speak...

Oh, don't make us blush! I'm sure you have a journal under your pillow that keeps tabs of all the truckstop dicks you have encountered.

So who is paying for the 8 weeks of ICU care to keep this corpse oxygenated?

The deformed thing ads a wrench into it. If not for that I'd fully support keeping somebody on life support to have a baby.

But she was a corpse. You're for keeping a corpse on body-support, even if it is against the wishes of the family and the person who's now deceased?

Corpses do not grow babies. A healthy baby absolutely I am. Why not? It's a corpse to you after all, so who cares.

and the corpse status is why she does not have a viable baby any longer. The two go hand in hand dead mother=unhealthy baby. I read the article that had briefs from the court her bones crack when they were moved her body had become stiff, her husband said she smelled of death, keep in mind this guy is a paramedic so he probably knows what he is talking about.

thanks for your concern on the "truckstop dicks" i have encountered. while i have to admit that i am good looking and have been propositioned by gays (possibly some from your own family) a couple of times, i have to bow out as my proclivities run in the opposite direction. funny though that most have looked strikingly similar to your avatar - that birdshit and mayonnaise on white bread peckerwood type so popular in berekely.

anyway it appears paratus and sandorski are advertising for some type of collective homosexual union in this very thread. seeing as you promote your dads preference for tranny sex, and that stuff runs in families, maybe you oughta give those two a shout.

not one to judge, but i don't believe that this is the proper venue for you three pursuing your trysts. might i suggest pm's or emails?

If I had to guess, the hospital is going to eat the costs. That means the people who live in Tarrant County will end up paying for it seeing as the hospital is the county hospital and is paid for by a tax rate of 0.227897 on appraised value. In other words $227.90 per $100k in appraised value.

one good note i'm sure you'll both be happy to learn is although veteran gay and lgbt rights advocate and former san francisco human rights commission staffer larry brinkin pleaded guilty tuesday to possessing child pornography and will have to spend six months in jail, his retirement benefits won't be affected as his crime is not considered "moral turpitude" by s.f.!! i'm sure one or both of you must know mr. brinkin and have probably spent many enjoyable hours in his company!

i love being the bringer of good news, make me feel fabulous!

So a lobbyist for, among other things, gay right turned out to a rather twisted individual. This means....? Probably as much as the following examples of twisted individuals:

Oh my, what does it all mean?

for me it means that there are a lot of sick folk walking around regardless of affliations. it also means that hopefully the mother and baby that this thread is about are in a better place. thanks for asking.

Saw this on morning news apparently the hospital has not complied yet, they may appeal. What is going on with this?

It could be a fundy hospital administrator who's going to drag this out until the "baby" can be birthed.

Or

It could be an administrator who knows this law is bullshit and wants it to go to a high enough court that it's struck down for good.

Or

It could be some combination of hospital lawyer, malpractice insurance agent bullshit that means appealing somehow makes them more immune to being sued.

I was thinking its a lawyer or insurance thing from what I previously read it seemed to indicate the hospital didn't think this was a good path to continue on

That's just messed up. The lady was a corpse with artificial support keeping her heart pumping and lungs oxygenated. And the fact that her and her family's wishes were being so blatantly violated...

FORT WORTH, Texas — The family of a brain-dead, pregnant Texas woman says she has been removed from life support following a judge's ruling that a Fort Worth hospital was misapplying state law in the case.
